Ranma 1/2 is a comedy...
To the best of my knowledge the others aren't...
Ranma doesn't need to be the most powerful being in Anime to be funny...
He's not the most powerful being in Ranma 1/2 either...(Ryoga's stronger,
Happosai and Cologne are more skilled, Mousse has more weapons, Akane
beats him up on a regular basis...)
You're right Ranma isn't as powerful as any of the other Anime's you
cited.  He doesn't need to be.  Ranma 1/2 is more into the character's
themselves than their powers (it just happens that Takahashi used combat
as a plot device in Ranma 1/2) or are you going to tell me that DragonBall
Z or Technoman are more interesting as stories than Ranma 1/2 (please,
Dragonball is no more than a bunch of action scenes strung together with a
semblance of plot, and while Technoman has some element of the human
element it's overshadowed by it's action scenes.)  I don't know about the
others I haven't read them all, but I'm pretty sure they're not comedies,
or romance, or growing up which is what Ranma 1/2 is all about.  The
combat is secondary (in my opinion) to the character relationships.  Can
you say the same about the other anime?
You seem to have a problem with Ranma 1/2.  Yes, it's not as action packed
as other anime.  Yes, it's characters are _physically_ weaker than other
anime.  But there is an _emotional_ factor that Ranma 1/2 evokes that few
other anime _I've_ seen can.  I can relate to _some_ of the problems that
the Ranma characters have (no I don't turn in to something when I get
wet--besides cranky, but I have relationship problems just like everyone
else, and that's what I can relate to in Ranma 1/2, I really can't feel
for someone who has to save the world from a boundless evil or is
repressing evil forces that are trying to take over his body, can you?)
To the best of my knowledge, most people don't like Ranma 1/2 for the
fight scenes, you're right, you can find better ones in other anime.  But
the reasons for the fight scenes are what intrest me (and every one else
I've talked to).
You can go on and on about how weak Ranma is compared to other anime
characters (you did) we don't care how physically weak he is.  He doesn't
have to be able to destroy a planet to interest us, he doesn't have to
fight some faceless evil that wants to destroy the galaxy to facinate us.
He just has to live his life.  Ranma 1/2 is a _romantic_ action _comedy_
emphasis on the romantic and the comedy the action is just there for fun.
