I believe this is a very very good idea.  If I remember right, Richard
Lawson is working on a Ranma-Kodachi alternative reality that stems off
the normal Ranma timeline around the Martial-Arts Gymnastics Competition
between Ranma-chan and Kodachi.  I also remember one, where Genma is a
friend of Principal Kuno, and both arranged to have their children marry.

I do believe the respective authors are going to finish the story...

If I ever get the time, I'll try to work on a pairing of Kodachi and
Ranma.  ^_-  It'll probably be called Alternative Reality #3.
