	Most of the shows you mentioned were things I haven't seen.  I 
can comment on Ghost in the Shell and Appleseed, though.  The >characters there 

are tech heroes; powerful, but not supernatural.  >Canonical Ranma has super 
strength and super speed.  He also has the >typical "martial arts sixth sense" 
which would protect him from being >caught from behind and assassinated flat
