There is at least one glass-walled elevator in Genom Tower. You see it in
use in BGC 6, when Madigan takes Largo and Anri to see Quincy.
Info from the RPG:
Genom's main headquarters is the Genom Tower, located in MegaTokyo's
District Three. It is 1000 meters tall, and still under construction in
2032. Estimated total volume is 170 million cubic meters. There is a
spiral road, meant to facilitate access for construction vehicles, that goes
up and around the sides.
The exterior is surfaced with smoked glass and mirrors. Majority of the
interior is offices, research labs, and executive conference rooms. Also
the obligatory cafeterias and recreation rooms/exercise gyms for the staff,
and a surgery-capable infirmary.
Many underground sublevels, which go down to almost 1/3 the Tower's
above-ground height. These basements include employee parking, loading
docks, storage, auditoriums, training rooms, and sensitive and guarded areas
like testing sites, labs, and independent fuel cell generator, the security
center, and the Tower's computer core. The Chairman's office is on the top
level, along with helicopter landing pads and clusters of communications gear.
Freight and personnel elevators connect all levels of the Tower (both above
and below ground). Most personnel elevators do not open to all floors,
since it is a mixed system of express and local elevators (express stop
every 10 floors, and locals cover the interveninng levels). This can be
over-ridden in an emergency.
