Anyone done a Ranma 1/2 / Beauty and the Beast crossover?  I was just
watching the Disney version yesterday (we had it up on the monitor
screens at the video store where I work), and I was noticing some
striking parallels, like...

Gaston = Kunou.  Yes, Kunou's more educated, but their attitude is      
            similar.  Plus, he has a goofy little sidekick to match.

Agreed.

Belle = Akane.   Yes, Belle's much less violent, but they share the same 
            contempt for Gaston/Kunou, and the same desire to experience
            life for themselves.

Of course.

The tea kettle lady = Kasumi.  Need I say more?

Nope, no need to say ANYTHING.  It's obvious.

The Beast = Ranma.  This one should be obvious.  Akane/Belle hates
him             at first, then grows to love him as he grows to love
her,
            and changes for her.  Not only that, but he's got a
curse             upon him, too... one that might drive away any woman
at
            first.

I know that Ranma is the love interest for the series and all, but for
some reason, I think Ryouga would make a better Beast than Ranma
would...

I mean, with Ryouga's behavior (and those fangs of his) I'd think he fit
the role better...
