Disclaimer stuff: Ranma and his wacky bunch are owned by Rumiko Takahashi.
Yohko and her crew are owned by Toho Co., Ltd./Madhouse. May I fall into the
Spring of Drowned Mamono before I claim any of them for my own. The only
character in here that's mine is Jujan.
Here's the first draft of this. C&C welcomed, and hoped for. ^_^

                            Yin, Yang, and Yohko
                  A Devil Hunter Yohko/Ranma 1/2 Crossover
                                   Part 2

Chi noticed the two girls in the corner had stopped arguing and were head-
ed their way. She left Yohko staring at the waiter and moved to intercept
them, Azusa trailing behind her. With a broad smile, she greeted them. "Hel-
lo! I'm Chigako Ogawa, professional manager of Devil Hunters. And you?"
"Ranma Saotome," answered the pig-tailed redhead.
"Akane Tendo." This girl had shorter hair, black in color.
Chigako noticed Azusa's presence next to her. "Ah! This is one of the De-
vil Hunters I manage, Azusa Kanzaki."
"Er, Devil Hunter in training, actually," Azusa said, waving shyly.
Chi nudged her friend with an elbow. "Don't let her fool you," she
grinned. "She's modest, but Azusa's an acomplished slayer of supernatural
nasties." As the other two girls exchanged a glance, Chi hissed out of the
corner of her mouth, "Quiet! Let me do the talking." When they turned back,
the manager of Devil Hunters continued. "Please allow us to handle all your
Devil Hunting needs. My card."
Ranma and Akane accepted the cards the strange girl thrust into their
hands. On it was a cute cartoon drawing of the loop-haired girl that was
currently drooling on Mousse, standing triumphantly over a vanquished demon,
superimposed over a stylized yin/yang logo that Ranma and Akane noticed were
repeated on the outfits of the two Devil Hunters. Next to the picture were
the words 'Devil Hunters--Just Leave It To Us!' and a toll-free phone number.
Ranma blinked at her card. "Does she remind you of someone, Akane?"
Akane looked at the girl in front of her, and in her mind's eye, the glas-
ses were removed, the hair cut and straightened. Add that to this Chigako's
smooth patter, and the image was almost perfect. "Hard to believe that
there'd be two of them..."
Chigako, her momentum lost by this unexpected reaction, asked, "What are
you talking about?"
Akane smiled. "Oh, you just reminded me of my sister, Nabiki, is all."
"Really?" Chi looked thoughtful. "I'll have to meet her sometime."
"Anyway, we don't really need any so-called Devil Hunters," the redhead
commented. "We could have handled that thing, no sweat."
"Get real, Ranma," Akane retorted. "Did you see how it spooked when those
two blasted their way in here? It wasn't because it was suddenly frightened
of *us*."
"Yeah, well, we still could've taken him." Ranma asserted.
"Are you a hunter of some kind, too?" Azusa suddenly asked. "I don't see
a ring, but I noticed you were trying to use some kind of energy blast on
that thing."
"Hah! I don't need any stupid ring!" Ranma grinned. "All anyone needs is
enough training in martial arts, and a lot of confidence."
"Really?" Azusa exclaimed. "That's cool! I gotta use my ring to do
that."
"Well, maybe I could show you a few things..." Ranma began. He was inter-
rupted by Akane.
"Don't you have enough problems, without taking on a student?" she
growled.
"Well, yeah...I guess I should do something about this Jujubes guy..."
Ranma shuddered at the thought of becoming the demon's wife.
"No, do you really think so?" Akane said sarcastically.
Chigako chose this moment to break into the conversation again. "That's
where my team comes in," she said confidently. "Even if you're all great
fighters, extra numbers always come in handy. In addition, you'll have the
psychological advantage of having known Devil Hunters on your side. Jujan
*will* take Yohko and Azusa into account when he makes plans for his return.
So I suggest that they *be* there, or you may well be overwhelmed."
"She's got a point, Ranma," Akane sighed.
   "Yeah, I s'pose so..."
"Excellent!" Chi grinned. "Now, our prices are quite reasonable..."
"Um..." Ranma figited. "We don't have any money..."
   "Oh..." Chigako said, sagging.
"We'll do it for nothing," Azusa said. "Right, Chi?"
   "Really?" Ranma exclaimed. "Thanks!"
"Yes, thank you," Akane added. "That's quite generous."
"Think nothing of it..." Chi muttered, shooting a dark glance at her com-
panion, who ignored her.
Yohko, now that the danger was past, and her friends were busy talking to
those other girls, decided to turn her mind to more important matters, such as
becoming better aquainted with that handsome boy, who had returned to his
work. Mustering her courage, she approached him, her concentration so total
that she never noticed the broken chair between her and him.
Mousse quickly turned around at the cry of surprise to see someone falling
toward him. Instinctively, he put out his arms to catch whoever it was, feel-
ing soft curves as the female body was caught in his inadvertant embrace.
_Shampoo,_ he thought, believing her to be the girl he had just rescued from
an embarrasing fall.
Yohko looked up into the face of this boy who had caught her. "Those
eyes," she whispered dreamily. "Beautiful..." She leaned her head on his
chest, feeling the hard muscle there, not caring who else might be around her.
_Shampoo..._ the Chinese teenager repeated to himself, lost in his romantic
fantasy as surely as Yohko was in hers. _At last she has come to me..._ With-
out consious volition, his face lowered to meet this soft girl's lips, who
rose to meet him.
   <CRACK!>
Mousse stopped, his lips a bare millimeter from Yohko's, as the shards from
the bowl that had been smashed over his head fell around him. His glasses,
jarred by the blow, slipped over his eyes, and he exclaimed in horrified sur-
prise as he realized that the girl in his arms wasn't Shampoo.
"Who you think you kissing, stupid duck-boy?" came Shampoo's mocking voice
from behind him.
"Shampoo!" Mousse panicked, releasing Yohko to crash to the floor. "It's--
it's not what it looks like!"
"OW!" Yohko exclaimed, rubbing her bruised rear end. "That hurt!"
"Hmph!" snorted the amazon girl. "Shampoo no care what bimbo Mousse fool
around with. But take somewhere else! Not in middle of restaurant!"
Yohko climbed to her feet with an annoyed air. After Ayako had taken two
potential boyfriends away from her a month ago, she had decided never to give
up simply because some other girl was around. "Bimbo, huh?" she smirked. "You
know, it almost sounds like you're jealous."
"SHAMPOO NO JEALOUS OF STUPID LOOP-HAIR GIRL!"
"Suuuure you aren't." Yohko backed up her taunt by sticking her tongue out
at Shampoo.
Shampoo growled and let her temper do the talking by swinging her fist at
Yohko's jaw. Yohko was prepared for this, though, and easily dodged the blow,
catching Shampoo's arm the moment it reached full extension. Spinning on one
foot, she used the Chinese amazon's momentum to hurl her over her shoulder.
Shampoo crashed heavily to the floor, and immediately started to rise, only to
get a red-slippered foot pressed against her throat.
"Don't you know it's not polite to attack people?" Yohko asked casually,
removing her foot now that she had made her point. She turned away, alert in
case the other girl tried to jump her from behind, to see that she was now the
center of attention. The two girls her friends had been talking to were look-
ing particularly aghast.
"Sh-she just defeated Shampoo!" Akane gasped.
Ranma removed her cap and placed it over her heart. "Alas, we knew her
briefly, but well--whatever her name is." She doubled over as Akane slammed
her elbow into her midsection.
   "Not funny, Ranma."
   "Kawaikune..." Ranma gasped.
Yohko, feeling a bit uneasy, suddenly felt soft hands turn her around gent-
ly. Shampoo had risen, and was now moving in closer, an unreadable expression
on her face as she brought her lips closer to the Devil Hunter's cheek.
"Um...hey," Yohko said uneasily. "What're you...I'm not like that!"
Shampoo's lips brushed by Yohko's ear, and she whispered, "You I kill."
"Huh?!" Yohko shrieked intelligently, jerking back before the other girl
could do anything else. "You're blowing this out of proportion!"
"You let Shampoo give you kiss of death now," the blue-haired Amazon said
calmly. "It be over soon."
"No, Shampoo!" Cologne shouted, thrusting her staff between the two girls.
"Not this one! Remember your Amazon law!"
"Shampoo remember, Great-Grandmother," Shampoo replied, concealing her an-
noyance at the old woman's interference. "If outsider defeat Chinese amazon
in combat, and is female, give kiss of death and hunt to ends of Earth until
one or other is dead."
Yohko make a strangled noise at this bit of news, but Cologne gave her a
reassuring look and turned back to her great-granddaughter. "The operative
word in this case is 'outsider'." She pointed her staff at Yohko. "When this
one's grandmother helped our tribe destroy a demon that had been plaguing the
village for centuries, she was rewarded with an honorary sisterhood in the
tribe. The sisterhood is also passed to her progeny. Yohko is no outsider.
She is immune to the kiss of death."
Shampoo glowered her frustration at this revelation while Yohko just stood
there, not certain how to react. Before the Devil Hunter could make up her
mind, the Amazon turned back to her.
"Okay, if Loop-Hair fellow Amazon, then Shampoo can challenge," she pro-
claimed. "We fight. Shampoo win, Loop-Hair go away; never come back. Loop-
Hair win, Shampoo leave alone for good. Okay?"
Before Yohko could answer, Cologne interceded again. "Save it for later,
Granddaughter. We will need her assistance to keep Son-In-Law away from a
fate worse than death."
"But Shampoo need win back honor!"
Cologne gave her great-granddaughter a piercing gaze. "Which is more im-
portant to you--your honor, which you can retrieve at a later date, or your
husband, who is in peril now?"
Shampoo paused a long moment before answering. "Husband," she said quiet-
ly, bowing her head.
"Very well," Cologne said, nodding. "Now go fetch the ramen from the kit-
chen and join the rest of us. We need to have a council of war." She direc-
ted Mousse to put a few tables together while Akane put up the 'Closed' sign
and propped the door back onto the frame.
Yohko sat in one of the chairs, next to Azusa, ill at ease. _Husband?_
she thought. _Did she mean Mousse? In peril? But it's that Ranma girl who's
in peril... Is Shampoo Mousse's wife? No, she didn't act like it..._ She
sighed. "I'm so confused!"
Chigako glanced up from her pocket organizer, where she was composing new
entries for later research. "So what else is new, Yohko?" she smirked.
"Chi!" Yohko protested. "What kind of a friend are you to say such
things?"
"The best one you've got," Chi retorted with a smile. She returned to her
work. "New file," she murmured, keying in the appropriate command. "Nabiki
Tendo..."
Shampoo returned with the ramen, tossing each bowl expertly to land in
front of each place at the table without spilling a drop, with one exception.
The bowl intended for Yohko's place somehow caught on a wrinkle in the table-
cloth, spilling it's contents all over the distracted girl. Yohko surged to
her feet with a cry of outrage, ramen noodles sliding from her red silk dress
onto the floor.
   "Oops," Shampoo said, poker-faced.
Yohko glared at Shampoo, then visibly calmed down. "No real harm done.
Um, Mousse, just how well can you see without your glasses on?"
Ranma snorted in a decidedly unladylike manner, answering before Mousse
could open his mouth. "He's blind as a bat. Why you wanna know that?"
"Good," Yohko said, stepping away from the table. "Then I can change back
right here without any guys seeing me. Azusa, you might as well switch back,
too."
"Okay!" Azusa replied, standing up to join her mentor.
"Uh..." Ranma said, but it was too late. The two Devil Hunters were al-
ready spinning, their fighting dresses dissolving before Ranma's bugging eyes.
Akane glared at Ranma, her temper exploding. "What are you staring at, you
*pervert*!?"
Ranma only had time enough for a brief look of panic before Akane's fist
slammed into her face, sending her on yet another aerial tour of Nerima.
"Kawaikuneeeeee.....!" Her voice faded as she disappeared from view.
Yohko and Azusa came to a halt, dressed in the clothes they had worn before
all this had happened. "What was that about?" Azusa asked Akane, while Yohko
studied the Ranma-shaped hole in the ceiling.
Akane slumped back into her seat. "Ranma's really a boy, and a pervert!"
she snarled.
   "Huh?!" Yohko and Azusa chorused.
Cologne spoke up. "Son-in...er, Ranma has a curse. He was born male, but
he fell into a cursed spring in China. Now he turns into a girl when hit with
cold water, and back into a boy in hot water."
Yohko had stopped listening after Cologne's first sentence. "He...was
really a guy?!" Her face began turning an interesting shade of red.
Azusa, her face performing similarly to Yohko's, growled, "And he just sat
there and *watched* us *change*?!"
The door to the street was moved aside, and Ranma, now in boy form thanks
to his use of the public baths as his landing site, was suddenly confronted
with two boiling mad girls.
   "*PERVERT*!!!!"
Back in the Tendo Dojo, Genma listened idly as the traffic-coptor report
came over the radio. "--a pitched battle between a teenage girl and an as-
sault plane in the industrial sector has disrupted all traffic within a ten
block radius of the Mishima Heavy Industries corporate offices. We advise
motorists to avoid that area at all costs. There is a an overturned semi on--
yeow! What was that?!" The woman's voice raised in a shriek. "It almost hit
us!"
Another voice replied, also female, it's faintness indicating that she was
further away from the microphone; the pilot, perhaps. "Just a flying guy.
That happens several times a day around here. Which one was it?"
The announcer replied, "Uh, dark hair, pigtail, red shirt..."
Genma sighed. "What have you done now, Ranma?"
The radio continued it's broadcast. "There's another one! A short old
man!"
"Aw, no! Not him! I'm taking evasive!"
"Watch out, you moron! I almost fell out!"
"A small price to pay to avoid that lech..."
"He grabbed one of the skids!"
"Dammit! AUGH! Get off me, you old pervert!!!"
   "We're going to crash!!!!!"
The radio fell silent for a moment, before another announcer's voice came
on the air. "Um...the traffic copter has apparently suffered some technical
difficulties..."
Genma stopped listening as his stomach growled. Time to see if he could
roust up some food. Preferably something free.
