I've been noticing a new trend.  (Well, actually, I had Big Swifty
and Associates set it up for me.  But that's another story...)

There've been a lot of fics lately where Nabiki realizes she loves
Ranma, in one way or another.  Hearts of Ice, No Title, Nekophobia.
Is this a rebellion against the Nabiki/Kuno fics, that depend on
a non-existent relationship?

I'm working on one now.  :)  Of course, I started it back in November when
it was still a fairly fresh idea.  The first complete draft should be coming
out in a month or so.

And yes, I really hate Nabiki-Kuno stories.

Agreed.  Lets face it people. Nabiki is the smartest, most together, 
self assured and (if we're honest) attractive character out of the 
entire cast...

Tatewaki on the other hand is the thickest, least together, 
egotistical and (if we're honest) one of the more letcherous of the 
characters in the series...

The only thing they might have in common is money...he has it, she 
wants it! The thing is though...she is already getting the cash off 
him and she's not exactly the type to demean herself to chasing after 
a man for his money...she'll send a collection agency ^_^

What I can't understand is this obsession with a love interest for 
her Royalness.  I can't see her ever having anything to do with a man 
who lacks a brain (in which category Mr T. Kuno falls) and I don't 
think the series ever had anyone who was her equal mentally. 'Sides, 
I don't see her ever getting married, she's too cosmopolitan, now a 
male harem....  That has possibilities.  

hmmmm...do you think I've given away my secret worship ot the goddess 
Nabiki yet?

Okay, now I'm willing to admit that the old tired Nabiki going to Kuno story is 
getting pretty old.  But (this is my opinion, sorry) I'm a Ranma puritist at 
heart and I just have a hard time swallowing that Nabiki would go after (gulp) 
Ranma.  I started a story (I don't really like it, I think I made Nabiki look to 
weak in it) in which I created a character for Nabiki.  Dashing, debonair 
(spelling ah!) and a charmer.  Personally I think that this is a better way to 
go.

But like I said, I'm a puritist Ranma fan.

Remember this is only my opinion (After watching my e-mail for the past week I 
realize that this is important to state), and I'm sorry if it offends any one.
