Robert, you know I like your fanfics, and I agree with many of your posts
here and on RAAM/RAAF, but being a Spanish-speaking Mexican that statement
didn't make me feel all mushy inside...

Here he's whining about people using the Spanish dub as a source instead of
the English dub, as if English was somehow superior.  Face it, English
dubbing is no less foreign to Japanese anime than Bantu, Punjabi, Spanish,
etc. dubbing.

As far as I know the best voices the Simpsons will ever have are in
Spanish. ^_^

So I guess the only reason he's demanding conformity to "at least North
America [totally ignoring Mexico, Puerto Rico, etc.]" is his Anglophone
snobbery.

Maybe it was just he forgot about it. Give him a break.

Since Robert refused to say which story and author he was flaming in that
post, could someone else please let me know which story was a fanfic of the
Spanish dub?  Thanks in advance!

Don't bother. The names are identical in English and Spanish, at least in
the dub we're getting here. It might be different in Spain, though.

If you make statements like that, you have to expect to be baked alive.

I totally agree.

And I disagree. A polite letter, even if it goes against your ideas,
doesn't deserve a crude and downright demeaning response.


Makes me wonder if I should write my Rayearth 'fic using the Spanish dub's
