Now, I know the differences between INU-YASHA and USHIO & TORA are
far too numerous to even attempt to list, but that central core is
surprisingly the same. (Unless the "impaled demon" is an element of
traditional Japanese folklore?)
When I read the translations of the first couple of chapters, my
thought was, "This sounds a lot like Zenki, with the fragments of the
Shikon no Tama (the Jewel of Four Souls) taking the place of the possession
seeds."
