My instinct tells me that she wouldn't. I'm very fond of Akane, as a look

I like Nabiki too. ^_^ I can see her losing her temper and putting her
foot down easily; Nabiki, unlike the other Tendo sisters, has no real tie
to the Tendo home other than love. She's capable of supporting herself,
and is probably tempted to strike off on her own all the time.

wouldn't suggest changing this little gem, but perhaps a story showing
Akane's mind after she finds out about the Saotomes.  And what about

Nodoka?  She might well swing over to supporting a marriage to Shampoo,
since Ranma could never marry a local woman of good family.

Once Nodoka found out, she would immediatly divorce Genma and disown
Ranma. And yes, Burakumin ancestry is considered grounds for that. It is
concievable that she would take her own life because of the disgrace.

 And Kuno and Kodachi?

Kuno would probably be very smug, and say that he knew it all along. Lord
only knows what Kodachi would think. ^_-

Sadly, yes.

Ranma has already demonstrated that he's a traditionalist in several
areas. Look at his "I don't fight girls" bit, for example. I can see him
looking down on Burakumin easily.
   I like to think that he would say "I don't care what your pgrandparents
did. I love you." I like to think that's what Akane would say, too. But
you never can tell.
