You expressed this as some sort of gospel truth.  You did not say "I do
not like it when people use the dub names.  I think it is a travesty." or
whatever.  Rather, you categorically attacked all of them and stated your
opinion as if it was the foundation of all truth.
Basically, you are telling all these people, 'Meet my standards or don't
write.'  Not, I'll not be happy with you, or I don't like it, but 'Use the
correct names or don't bother at all'.

If you make statements like that, you have to expect to be baked alive.

  WRONG.  Regardless of the provocative content of Mr. Mossison's
arguments, his letter was polite and reasoned in tone.  He has the right to
expect the same regard from those responding.  Civility and politeness are
necessities, not luxuries, for reasoned debate and discussion.  I'm sure
C.S. Lewis would agree.
