"The Tenchi Crisis: Tales of the Washu Sabers"
Chapter 001: The Search for Tenchi begins...
The year is 2032 and Genom has effectively taken over Tokyo with a
new technology known as Boomers, or as they are more commonly known, Buma.
These androids, which are designed to help people, have been known to go
on the rampage every so often. The only effective combatants are the
Washu Sabers, Mega-Tokyo's mysterious super-hero/mercenary team that tries
to protect everyone from the machinations of Chairman Azusa and his
trusted vice president, Kagato J. Mason.
In this episode, the Sabers learn that Chairman Azusa has a great
grandson, Tenchi Masaki, who has disappeared. It is also learned that
Azusa would prefer that Tenchi not be found, for some reason having to do
with his power over Genom. It also seems that Kagato would like to find
some way to kill or destroy the young man before he can ever be brought
forward to the public.
In investigating possible leads, Washu comes across a name of one
of his false identities. It is a name that Ryouko recognizes as that of
being her former boyfriend, and the picture of the young man only confirms
that. Ryouko is now sure that Azusa and Kagato have sent the person she
loves into hiding, and is itching for revenge.
Washu, however, wants to find the young man as soon as possible,
especially after talking to Doctor Raven.
It seems that Tenchi may actually holds the future of Genom, and
thus everything associated with it, in his hands.
The main characters:
Washu Stingray - The person for whom the team is named after, but
no-one believes has anything to do with it. She
is known as sort of a crazy scientist whose
devices have never worked unlike her famous
father, Kensuito Stingray.
Ry-oh-ki Stingray - A strange little creature that is suspected to
have been created as a companion for Washu by
Kensuito. Very fond of carrots, it will sometimes
go on rampages to try and find them. In recent
times, it has become very attached to Sasami.
Washu is the only one who actually understands
what it says.
Ryouko Asagiri - The streetwise fighter who's angry at Genom and
specifically, Kagato, for forcing her boyfriend to
have to disappear in order to survive. She would
love to tear him apart with her bare hands but is
always stopped by Washu. Ryouko has a tendency to
disobey orders and go solo. She also sings in a
group called "Ryouko's Pirates"
Sasami Yamazaki - The quiet and mystical member of the group who can
easily destroy boomers with a whip of her head.
Taken in by Washu, she tends to live a quiet
existence unless she sees a friend hurt or
injured. She's been looking for a good friend of
hers for a while now.
Mihoshi Romanova - The groups computer expert and member of the ADP.
She is sometimes classified as the classic ditz,
but tends to have a perfect memory for details.
Well able to handle the computers at ADP, she also
tends to accidentally stumble into situations
where she captures criminals. Most of the time
without realizing it.
Yoshu "Pops" Raven - The owner of Ravens Garage. A certified genius or
nut with much too much time on his hands. He has
helped Washu build up the Sabers into a fairly
good organization, as well as training them in the
use of their abilities. Don't call him "pops"
however, unless you want to face the same type of
fights that he and Ryouko get into.
Kiyone Wong - Probably ADP's top detective who believes that she
can solve virtually any crime. While not quite an
egotist, she does tend to think that her brand of
detective work is a hell of a lot more effective
than other peoples. The only thing she asks is
that she not be pared with Mihoshi, although she
finds herself constantly cleaning up the messes
the ADP communications officer gets into.
Ayeka McNichol - The calm, self-assured, member of the ADP who,
while not always relaxed, has a tendency to be an
egotist. She always believes that she is the
best, the brightest, and the greatest in anything
she does. She also has a tolerance relationship
with Ryouko, with whom she constantly gets on the
nerve of. It is a reciprocal relationship as
Ryouko also gets on hers.
Chairman Azusa - He created Genom a long time ago, and has held the
company in his hands with an iron grip. Few dare
to try to oppose his rule of the company, and
fewer still understand what he is trying to
achieve. Some people actually say that he is not
responsible for the Boomers depredations. No one
knows whether this is true or not as his hand has
never actually been connected to such incidents.
Kagato J. Mason - A mysterious figure, he is a real corporate pirate
in the true sense of the word. There is nothing
that he will not do in order to get what he wants.
And what he wants is control of Genom.
Funaho Madagan - No one quite knows what she does, but everyone is
sure that she is completely trusted by Chairman
Asuza. While very competent at whatever it is
that she does, Funaho has a tendency to treat
everyone like a five year old when she isn't being
cold hearted.
Tenchi Masaki - The great grandson of Chairman Azusa. No one
knows where he is, or what his real involvement
with Genom is about. Everyone is sure that he
will be the one who will inherit the company,
unless he is killed first.
