Yes!  This has got to be the best original Ranma 1/2 alterna-fic idea
I've seen in a long time.  Write it, write it, write it!

Also, if you do write it and it ends up significantly starring or
co-starring Akari, I'd like to put a copy on my Akari Home Page.

In fact, I like this idea so much, that if you leave it open-ended and
I have enough time, I might be tempted to do a side-story or something
