Hiya NeonB,
        Now you see why the Newbie Forum.  That is exactly why we exist, to
give people who don't normally recieve a large amount of C&C help.  I admit,
the FFML will favor some people before others, but that's because people
don't have time to read every fanfic that comes their way, they have to pick
out what sounds the most interesting, or what is from an author they know is
good.  It isn't fair, I agree, but that's the way it is.  No matter, now
that your part of the NF, you can be assured that I at least will C&C (don't
forget to place a "[NF]" next to the title so we can spot it) your work.
        Also, for anybody else out there interested in joining the Newbie
forum, or getting more information (I hope you don't mind me plugging the

This is that quite simply a lot of the people on this list are doing 
their damnedest to write good fiction but their efforts are not being 
rewarded with any C&C. These are the people who, to be quite frank 
are the ones who need it most if they ever want to improve. Added to 
which it's hugely discouraging to not even get so much as a peep out 
of your peers after you have put so much effort into crafting your 
work.

Whilst kudos are deserved by people like Zen and co for their work, 
all too often they are c&c'd to the exclusion. The thing is though, 
they don't need it so much. They already know they are good, other 
peoples opinions don't matter so much to them and they don't need 
help to write their stuff.

What I propose is a kind of informal rule which isn't there to be 
enforced, just a kind of fanettiquette thing.
 If some C&C comes your way.  Keep note of who 
sent it and, the next time they publish something, perhaps go a 
little out of your way to give some advice or even just a 'hey thats 
really cool'.
