The Wedding

Ranma fidgeted in his tuxedo. Somehow, the fact that he had put it on himself made it more uncomfortable.
He couldn't believe he was doing this. He could not believe he was about to go through with it. He must be mad. This had to be the result of some mad plot on someone else's part. He looked around. It would easy to run across the sand, lose himself in the beach houses....
"Relax, Ranma." Ryoga put his hand on Ranma's shoulder. "It'll be over in a little bit." He paused, and a twinkle of amusement entered his eyes. "You know, Ranma, I wanted to take my revenge on you by beating you up. Seeing you suffer like this is much more satisfying."
Ranma glared at him. 'Best man' indeed. More like the guy who poured salt into an open wound. He could use a good chi-attack. Ranma didn't feel up to a Moko Takabisha. A Hiryu Shoten Ha would cause too much damage. Maybe a simple Kachu Tenshin Amiguriken; he hadn't done one of those in a while.
There was a sudden rustle, the sound of everyone turning in their seats at once.
Ryoga looked down the aisle and his eyes got big.
Ranma slowly turned, somewhat afraid of what he was going to see.
Akane was absolutely radiant. She had on another western-style wedding dress. This one had many more frills and a long trail. The lace seemed to positively glow in the sunlight.
What made her more beautiful, though, was her face. She had on the biggest smile he had ever seen from her, at the same time close to tears. Her eyes were big, and they were fixed on Ranma. He swallowed. He never wanted her eyes to leave him.
He wasn't sure if her father was supporting her, or she him. Probably a bit of both, Ranma decided. Her father released Akane at the head of the aisle, to practically collapse into a chair next to Ranma's mother and father. He didn't seem up to standing through the ceremony.
Ranma turned his attention back to Akane. She wasn't smiling anymore, just looking at his face with a solemn, slightly frightened look on her face. She was breathing rapidly, and seemed about to faint. He gave her what he hoped was a reassuring smile, although it felt weak on his lips. She also gave him a weak smile. Ranma almost laughed; she was probably trying to reassure him as well.
They both turned to the court official Ranma's mother had hired for the occasion, a nondescript man with dark hair and glasses. He was smiling too, with more strength. He nodded at them, then began.
"Ranma and Akane have agreed to marry each other, and give each other
happiness and love. They enter into a lifelong partnership, where each submerges their will into the greater whole of their unity. For they are no longer separate identities, but rather, each is one part of the two lives entwined, finding strength together, peace together, love together. Let them not be thought of as merely individuals, but each one-half of the total sum of their spirits.
"In as much as Akane and Ranma have consented on paper to be man and wife, I must now ask them to give this consent aloud, for a contract of marriage is the one contract in which the promises of heart and mouth must supersede those of brain, and ink, and paper.
"Think not that this is an easy thing, this exchanging of vows, or one to be taken lightly. Each of these young people is taking an oath, which binds their honor and the honor of their families to their words. When a person takes such an oath, that person cradles their own soul in their hands.
"And so, Akane and Ranma, I charge you now: If you don't intend for these vows to bind you, release each other from the pledges you've made until now, and me from my promise to wed you, for I shall not do so willingly should this be the case.
"Indeed, should any witness to this ceremony know a reason why the oaths taken today shall not be kept, and kept sincerely, speak now, or ratify this marriage with your silence."
Ranma couldn't help but look around. Shampoo was holding Mousse's hand very tightly, and seemed about to cry, but she didn't look like she had anything to say. Tatewaki was sitting next to Nabiki, looking very stern, but also strangely content. Ukyo was sitting by herself, and she *was* crying, but she met Ranma's gaze with a brave smile and a nod.
Ranma looked at Ryoga, who raised an eyebrow and indicated with a movement of his head that Ranma should pay attention to the ceremony. Relieved, Ranma looked forward once more.
"Do you two swear and affirm that you stand here of your own will, free of external compulsions, to be wed by me before these loved ones, and that you willingly exchange the vows you are about to take?" Ranma and Akane both murmured agreement. Ranma couldn't help but wonder what would have happened at this point if Mother had carried out her original plan.
"Good. Take each other's hand, and look at each other."
Akane shyly offered her hand. Ranma placed it in his own. They looked at each other. Ranma felt the outside world melt away. The only thing that existed at all was the woman in front of him. His doubts, hesitations, and fears vanished in her eyes. He smiled, confident, assured, knowing that this was good and right. Akane smiled at him too, also seeming less afraid. The love they felt seemed almost a physical thing, saturating the air between them.
Words seemed to float in from somewhere. Ranma didn't much care about where they came from, but he listened to them nonetheless.
"Ranma, repeat after me..." Ranma did, putting his love into the words.
"I, Saotome Ranma, accept you, Tendo Akane, as my one true wife..." he almost stumbled over the word, but kept going, "...and will love and honor you and you alone in this fashion, and will serve you and you alone with every last breath as lover, provider, and shield, and not forsake you, no matter how the winds may blow, for as long as we two shall live."
The words from outside were now directed at Akane. She echoed the words, her expression serious, her voice quiet but firm, her eyes wide, her hand steady as it held his. "I, Tendo Akane, accept you, Saotome Ranma, as my one true husband, and will love and honor you and you alone in this fashion, and will serve you and you alone with every last breath as lover, provider, and shield, and not forsake you, no matter how the winds may blow, for as long as we two shall live."
The world grew a little, and now Ranma could see the court administrator as he continued the ceremony.
"Do you have the rings?" Ryoga handed Ranma two gold bands. One had a small diamond in its center, beautiful still in its simplicity. Ranma gave the plain one to Akane, and put the other on her finger. She took his hand and put his ring on his finger. It felt like cold fire on his skin, burning the knowledge of his marriage into him.
"So be it. You two have, this day, demonstrated your complete and total faith in each other. By virtue of the powers vested in me, I now declare you one soul, husband and wife, lawfully joined."
The court administrator smiled again. "You may, at your convenience, kiss the bride."
Ranma fought to keep his hands from shaking as he lifted his wife's veil. She was looking at him, eager, loving. They kissed, and the sound of cheering buoyed them as they lost themselves in each other.

Chapter One:
Good-by Home
Several Days has passed since the wedding and it has been a peaceful day so far with non of the usual antics of some of the districts most famous residents fighting and yelling at and with each other. Well it was a nice, calm, peaceful day, but that was not going to last... Ranma Saotome is talking on the phone with his parents. "You want me to do WHAT?"
"You heard me, Ranma. You're aunt in Osaka is worried about her
daughter, and she wants you to take and visit and look out for her," replied Genma over the phone.
"But pop, what about Akane? Do you know what she's going to say
about all this."
"Just take her with you. Your aunt is expecting you and her..."
Nodoka interrupts Genma and takes over the phone. "After all we don't want you to be separated when Serena is now Akane's cousin."
"Fine, but let me talk to Akane first and tell her whats going on and I'll call you back. Bye mom and pop," replies Ranma.
Ranma hangs up the phone and walks out to the Dojo. Inside is Akane working out on her kata. Ranma walks up to her and puts his arms around her and kisses her on the back on the neck.
"Mmm. So what did your parents call you about, Ranma?"
"My cousin... My aunt in Osaka wants me to visit and keep an eye on and keep my cousin, Serena, out of trouble. My aunt is also expecting you as well," replies Ranma.
Akane looks a little upset about the news but cheers up when she hears that she's been invited as well. "So when do have to leave?"
Ranma looks into Akane's eyes. "As soon as you want to, I guess."
Akane walks over to the wall and grabs her towel and begins to wipe
the sweat off of herself. "Then you better call you folks back and tell them that we'll be leaving tomorrow. By the way how long are we going to be gone for?"
Ranma walks up and takes her towel and proceeds to wipe the sweat
off of her, himself. Looking a little sheepish he says, "Well... about a... year."
Akane looks shocked about this revelation. "A YEAR!"
Ranma finishes his task and leaves to call his parents back while Akane remains in the Dojo completely shocked. Little do Ranma and Akane know that this trip will change their lives FOREVER...

Chapter Two:
Meetings, Greetings and Remembrance
One board a train destined for the Osaka district sits Ranma and Akane, with Akane still looking a little upset and Ranma looking a little depressed.
Ranma turns to Akane. "Look, I'm sorry, Akane? It's just that their family and you know how I feel when family is involved."
Akane relinquishes and looks back at Ranma. "You still should have told me how long we'd be gone for." Akane sighs and turns to look out the window.
Ranma wraps a arm around Akane whispers into her ear. "Besides I just got this bad feeling that this won't be just a simple visit."
Akane is still looking out the window. "Just promise me that you
won't start any trouble while we're there and I'll do my best to stay cool, ok."
"I promise."
*******************
Meanwhile at the Osaka train station a girl, with blond hair with two ponytails with the tops in a sphere shape, is yelling out and running as if she's late for an important appointment. "AAAHHH... I'm late."
Another girl with short blue hair interrupts her. "Late for what, Serena?
"I'm Late to meet my cousin at the train station, Amy!"
Amy looks at Serena. "Umm... Serena didn't you know that you're
already at the train station? Besides you're not late, in fact you're early cause the train hasn't yet arrived."
Serena looks confused. "I'm early? How can that be? My watch says that I'm 30 minutes late."
Amy takes a glance at her watch. "No Serena, in fact you're actually 2 minutes early."
They are interrupted by another girl with long dark hair. "Well I'll be... Meatball head is early for once in her life I see."
Serena looks like she's about to explode. "How many times do I have to tell you, Pyro..., not to call me MEATBALL HEAD! Only Darien can call me Meatball Head!"
Rei covers her ears from Mt. Serena as she explodes. "Ok, ok. Geeze cool down will ya. And tone down the disables as well."
Amy interrupts the two because she knows what that it's best to avoid so much attention that they were getting by the crowd. "Hey look, there's Lita and Mina up a head."
Serena's attention is quickly redirected to a brunette with a ponytail and a blond with her hair in a red ribbon. "Hey guys. What brings you here."
Lita looks at Mina. "Looks like you lose this one, Mina."
Mina looks a little upset but turns her attention towards Serena, Amy, and Rei walking up to them. "Oh, hey guys. We're hear to see what this cousin of yours looks like. Do you know what he looks like Serena?"
Serena looks a little down at the question. "Not a clue, but I'm told that he's got a picture of me so he'll know who to look for. All I know is that he's an extremely excellent martial artist and he's bringing along some girl with him, although I can't remember who she is, and he's supposed to have some sort of curse."
Rei suddenly looks over at Serena. "Do you say that he's cursed?"
Serena nods and looks confused. "I'm told that he's got some strange curse that came from China, why?"
"Never mind. I'll just talk to grandpa about this cause he knows more about curses and cures."
Lita takes this opportunity to get a surprised look. "He's a martial artist? What does he do, Serena?"
Serena taps her head as she concentrates. "Its supposed to be a rare form of martial arts, I just can't remember what though. He's capable to win any fight he's gotten into, or so I've heard."
Lita defiantly looks interested in Serena's cousin now. "Wow, he
sounds like a hunk. I've defiantly gotta meet this guy."
Amy interrupts the conversation and points off down the tracks. "Well here's his train now, I think."
The five girls watch as the train pulls into the station unaware that they are being watched by four sets of eyes.

What appears to be a guy with short, dirt blond hair looks over at *his* companions, a girl with aqua-blue hair and a girl with short dark hair and a girl with dark green hair are watching the scouts.
The guy looks over at the girl with green hair. "Tell me again, why we're watching the inner scouts, Susan."
Susan looks back at the guy. "Because Alex, it is important that we be here and look after them. Helen, Michelle are you two prepared to do what needs to be done."
Helen looks a little nervous. "But why do we have to do this Susan, I mean their lives don't need to be flipped upside down."
Susan gives Helen a despairing look. "I know but Queen Serenity told us that they need to remember everything about their past and about their families of the past."
"I still think it's too soon for this Susan," replies Michelle.
"Very well we shall wait until the five meet them." concedes Susan.

The train doors open up and out steps Ranma and Akane. Both of
them are looking all over the terminal for Serena.
"Let me see that picture again, Ranma."
Ranma hands Akane a picture of Serena in a group shot with her
friends. Akane looks at the picture then up at a group of girls that are near the wall of the station.
"Look over there Ranma. I think that's her over there. Strange but I could swear that I've seen her somewhere before, but I can't remember where though."
Ranma looks over to where Akane's pointing. "Well lets go over and
say hi then."
Ranma and Akane walk over to where Serena and the scouts are
standing.

Rei suddenly tenses up and everyone looks at her.
Serena is the first to speak up. "Hey Rei you alright? Its as if you've seen a ghost or something."
"No, it's just that I feel very powerful force and its coming right at us. In fact it's coming from those two over there." Rei points towards Ranma and Akane.
*******************
"Ranma, why is that girl pointing at us?" asks Akane.
"I don't know but she seems to be a friend of Serena's. So I guess that we should take and ask her why." replies Ranma.
Ranma and Akane walk over to where the scouts are standing watching
the two approach.

"Don't look now guys but they're coming this way." says Mina.
*******************
Ranma walks right up to Serena. "Umm... Serena, it's me, your cousin Ranma. I believe you're expecting me and Akane."
Serena looks confused. "Umm... Oh yeah that's right. But, Umm,
who's Akane?"
"I'm Akane," Akane introduces herself, "I'm this idiots wife.
The scouts all look at her in complete surprise. "His WHAT?"
Ranma looks a little embarrassed about their reactions. "Yeah, well you see we got married over the summer."
Akane elbows him in the gut. "Can we go some wear to talk in
private? I believe that there are some things that you need to know about him but it's a little private."
Rei speaks up. "We can go over to my place. Its on the way to
Serena's home any ways."
The group leaves the station and walks off to the Hikawa Shrine like Rei proposed to everyone.

After about a 15 minute walk they arrive at the shrine. Upon entering the shrine they are greeted by Grandpa.
"Grandpa, I'm back," shouts Rei.
"Welcome home, Rei. Oh who are your two new friends here?"
ask Grandpa.
Ranma walks up to the old man and sticks his hand out and greets
him. "Hi, I'm Serena's cousin, Ranma Saotome and this is my wife
Akane."
Grandpa looks shocked. "Wife!?! But you look only about 17
years old." Then Grandpa looks at Ranma a little strangely. "Are you
cursed by the way?"
Ranma is taken back in total shock. "H... h... how did you know
about that?"
"Well, you are radiating a cursed karma. It seems connected to you
chi." replies Grandpa.
"I guess I should tell you about myself and what I've been through." Ranma takes a deep breath and proceeds to tell them when he left home a the age of 5, meeting Ukyuo at the age of 6, training in Cat-fu at 10, his fatal trip to Jyusenkyo at 16, meeting Shampoo and having her hunting him down, meeting Akane about a month later, his accidental bathroom meeting with Akane (in which everyone looked a little surprised about and Akane gets a little mad at Ranma for telling them that). Ranma continues to tell them of all of his fights ad rescue missions to save Akane, revealing his curse to his mother, the first try to get married to Akane, his individual encounters with all his other would-be sutures, the trip to the beach and finally getting married to Akane.
Meanwhile the Scouts and Grandpa looks at Ranma in complete
shock.
Rei was the first to break the silence. "You can't be serious. I
mean turning into a girl and acting completely like a cat after being exposed to cats for an extend period of time.
"I wouldn't be to sure of the Rei."
"What do you mean, Grandpa? It's completely impossible." asks Rei.
"Believe me Rei, he speaks the truth about Jyusenkyo and Cat-fu. Both are, lets say, pretty much real." replies Grandpa. "Well I suspect that you got some catching up to do with you're cousin so I'll leave all of you alone so you can discus it."
"Thanks Grandpa." replies Serena.
As soon as Grandpa leaves the scouts start asking Ranma and
Akane hundreds of questions.

Rei once again bolts up in shock as she feels a great surge of power and runs out the door and everyone looks in the direction that she ran.
"Whats with her?" asks Ranma.
"I don't know but we had better follow her or she might get into trouble." replied Mina.
*******************
Upon exiting the Temple, Rei runs over to the steps and see's Alex and Michelle walking up the stairs.
"What are you two doing here? This is defiantly strange." said Rei.
"It is not as strange as you might think Rei Hino." came a voice from behind Rei.
Rei turns around only to see Sailors Saturn, and Pluto
standing there each with what looks like a grin.

The Inner Scouts exit the temple just in time to see Sailors Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto standing facing towards Rei.
"Pluto. What are you doing here?" asked Mina
"To return your memories to you all." Pluto said as she lowered he Time staff.
*******************
"W-w-what the... Look Ranma, Sailor Scouts," Akane says then does a double take as Saturn walked in right behind Pluto.
"What the hells going on!" yelled Ranma.
"It is time for remembrance and a time for full explanations." Said Pluto.
"What are you talking about Pluto?" asked Serena.
Ranma looked at Serena in complete shock. "You know her?"
Pluto looked at everyone then raised her Time staff and tapped it on the floor to get everyone attention. "AHEM!! Thank you. Now as I was saying it is time for rememberace and explanations so without further interruptions...
`When to the seasons of sweet silent thought
I summon up remembrance of things past,
I sigh the lack of many a thing you've sought,
And with old woes new wail my dear time's past.'
Awaken ancient memories, I command you at last,"
rhymed Pluto. And upon the command, a beam shot out from the Garnet Orb that rests on top of the time staff, shot out to the everyone's head. Each of the Sailor Scouts planet symbol began to glow and upon Serena's head her crescent moon started to glow as well. But upon Akane's head the symbol for the planet Earth shone brightly and Ranma's Head had the Chaos symbol upon his brow.
"`Tiss done." was Pluto's only reply.

Chapter Three:
The Truth be told.
Deep in the reaches of space a what looks like a rip or a tear in space opens up just outside of the solar system. Exiting or escaping the tear is a being of such power and blood thirst that the universe has ever seen. The one and only thought on its mind was `REVENGE'.
"Yessss.... Soon I shall have my revenge on you Serenity. On you and your daughters. Yes, all that stand and defies me shall perish such death. It will be music to my ears upon hearing their screams and mercy begging. Bwahahaha-hahahahaha!!" the creature laughed as it approached Pluto's moon, Chaos, in search of its first victims.

Sailor Pluto carefully arranged each of the scouts so that they where comfortable while they slept. She then did the same with Ranma and Akane.
`I guess it was just to much for them to remember the past like that, but I had no choice. Queen Serenity ordered my to do this for some reason, in which
she never told me about yet. I wonder why?'
Pluto just sat there and kept an eye on everyone.
"Excess me? But could you tell me why everones asleep, Pluto?" asked Grandpa as he entered the room and took a look around.
"I mearly restored their memories and I guess the strain was to much for them." she replied.
"Do you think it was wise to do that?"
"Queen Serenity ordered that this must be done, so I just simply carried out her command." Pluto said as she looked at Grandpa.
"I wonder how mad Rei will be when she finds out the truth?"
"I don't think she'll be upset at all. I think she'll be relieved to now that you are her father from the Silver Millennium." replied Pluto.
Grandpa looks a little sad at the reminder of the past. "But what about him? And his wife? How are they going to feel and react after hearing the truth of this entire situation."
"Do not fret sir, they will understand. They must or the new reign of sovereignty will crumble and be destroyed before it has a chance to begin." Pluto says as she places a hand on Grandpa's shoulder. "Still they look like their mother in some ways it still amazes me. Besides I think that they might find it ironic that the reason they always fought like sisters would fight is because they really are sisters."
While Pluto and Grandpa were talking they missed seeing a body move. "Ouch what hit me?" groaned Ranma as he sat-up and looked around.
"Easy Ranma, your still a little disorianted from the memory restoration that was applied to you and the others," said Pluto as she reverted back to her normal self.
Slowly, one by one, everyone was waking up from Pluto's little
treatment'. Although some wear a little more upset than others.
"What the hell did you do that for,"complained Alex as she rub the side of her head trying to work of the headache she got.
"When everyone is ready and able I shall tell you the reason why you all were given back your memories," replied Pluto.

Thirty minutes later, everyone has gathered in the Fire Room'. The Inner Scouts were sitting side by side in a U' formation. Ranma was leaning up against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest. Akane was sitting next to him, looking on with a curious expression. The Outer Scouts sit behind the Inner's. Everyone's attention was tunned on Susan, who stood near the center of the room.
