IS there anything in the Ranma manga or anime that actually SAYS Kasumi

Actually, it was from some notes that Takahashi-san wrote during the first
few stories and never went with afterwards.  She also put aside quite a
few of the original ideas when the story started, in her word, "To write
themselves."
