No. The "third" results from 3 in "3x3 Eyes", and "Foundation" of
course comes from "Foundation". Good idea? Probably not, but it's
not a fatally bad one in my opinion.
Somehow, I think you ought to change the title. Avoid confusion with
the = book.
No way, I made it up before I heard of David Brin's work (it took
quite a while for me to finish this fic, since I'm a bad writer in
addition to being very uncreative). And since I kind of like it ...

wasn't. But what's a couple of hundered years compared to 20,000?
Do you really think that they'd preserve only the events of their own
lives? They'd also had probably preserved quite a lot of history that
went on before them. At least that's what I'd like to think.

The way Asimov wrote Seldon, he apparently never suspected that she was
until the end.
The way Asimov wrote it is really confusing. In the end of Prelude,
Seldon seems to be positively sure that she's a robot, but in Forward
he seems to be shocked by the realization that she's a robot. Hey,
what's going on here, Dr. Asimov?

By that time, there would have been no underground cities left.
I was referring to the time of "Robots and Empire". A century or two
before would be "just before" when you look at it about 20,000 years
later. And in any case, Yakumo's memory is muddled enough that he
could be entirely wrong.
He needed to go to Mycogen next, and that place was depressing enough
as it was.
Does he? Mycogen food is probably sold in various sectors throughout =
Trantor anyway. And does he live on Trantor or offworld?
Hmm, should have thought of that, but I was trying to find something
to end the fic with. What to do, what to do ...
And I was thinking that they were living offworld. Probably easier to
remain obscure, maybe they lived on an hidden planet, the way Gaia is.
Really, I don't know.
Speaking of Pai. How is her memory?
