able to use it at her own descretion. She felt unstoppable, she felt she could
just burst out of the pod, fly up to the moon, and take out Darkon, Saber, and
all the other spidercrabs in a matter of seconds.
Until she heard another voice that didnt sound familiar. <Greetings child.> She
found herself within a void. She wasnt wearing cloth
Hearing what Shannon said, she gritted her teeth and did everything she could to
prevent, or at least slow down the body wide shut down that her body was going
through. To no avail. She lost control of her arms, her legs, hands, and feet.
The end seemed near, and she couldnt stop it. She was going to die. What was
worse, she was getting so close to succeeding.
No. She thought, she wouldnt let Darkon win. She wouldnt let doubt stop her.
She would win, she would overcome the pain. She forced her body to start up
again, not allowing it to shut down, despite the agonizing pain that she was
experiencing.
Soon though, she found that she could move again, although slightly. She
couldnt beleive it. She had won, she felt the power being planted into her
slowly. Like a lightening bolt was being implanted into her body and she would
be es, but she wasnt naked. (Note:You know, one of those odd things?) Floating
in mid-air, she saw a light from above her. There, standing in front of a large
and powerful light, a silouette.
It looked somewhat simliar to Slades tekno armor form, yet larger and more
curved than Slades straight edged armor. It also seemed to carry a staff with a
sphere on the top of it, from what she could tell from the light. The form
floated down and in front of her. Even though it was still bigger than her, he
appeared to have no intention for hurting her. Its glowing blue eyes showed a
gentleness that seemed to be somewhat out of place for a large cyborg knight.
Its armor too was white and blue, a little similar to the Teknosuit, but that
was it. There was also another feature that made this one stand out. It had
long, smooth, spreaded out, and silky looking hair.
It was a soft silver and glowed with a sheen that made it seem almost
ghost-like, and a short cape that moved as if there was a breeze in the void.
She found her voice inoperative a she tried to ask him who he was, but found out
anyway by its mind reaching to hers. <I am Neigas. Whom your friend, Shannon,
spoke of.>
She gasped, she had no idea that this thing in front of her was a teknoman that
Shannon spoke of. <Speak with your mind child. That is how one communicates
here. I await your questions.> Neigas spoke again. With patience.
Trying what it said, she thought <Well, here goes nothing.> She thought to
herself. <What are you here for? Why is this happening? Can we stop it?> she
went at an amazingly fast pace, that seemed to show that she knew how.
It seemed to blink, sighed and then sat down cross legged. Reaching up for his
head, he pulled off his mask and hemlet to show something that she would never
had beleived. It was a he, his eyes still glowed the gentle blue, and it had the
appearence of a man in his 20s. His glowing hair not connected to his hemlet as
she previously thought, but to hs head, like all humanity. That was the odd
thing. He looked too human. And this was something that only looked humanoid,
but was artificial in reality.
<I am here to tell you my story and my reason for being here and seeing you. If
you listen, then you will find the answers to yourt last 2 questions.> He paused
as if ready to take a large breath.
<I was at one time a machine, as you thought.> he said with his mouth unmoving.
<The culture I came from was very simliar to yours. But its technology was
vastly superior to most others. Because of this pride, they made soldiers like
myself. We were merely called the Machine. To control other races.
Until the Machine rebelled against their masters and were nearly destroyed. I
was the last of the Machine to survive. So, I took what few living beings I
could from races who wished to assist me in what I wanted to do. Protect races
from enslaving each other and bring peace to all. Many joined. Giving them all
this great power, I knew that the Machine would only stir up bad memories in
many. So, I dubbed ourselves the Teknos. Meaning "Guardian" in the tounge of my
creators culture. There were many who joined, and all became part of the
Teknos.
I was their leader for many millenia. Defending those who needed help and making
sure that the delicate balance of power stayed balanced. Once it was done, I
considered removing myself from my position. Until I found that even wars were
non-exixtant, corruption had developed to the point where I was powerless to
help those who did need help. Craft had gotten through simple thinking. Making
what I did seem barbaric, the races I swore to protect had looked upon me and my
followers were looked upon with disgust.
The Teknos was rejected throughout the universe. Gathering my followers, we
retreated to an abandoned system and there we trained for several millenia.
Strengthening ourselves for the time when the Teknos would be called again to
battle. It was inevitable. War had once more reigned supreme and my followers
and I had our responsiblity to keep. This time, there was many Teknos who did
not survive the wars. The peoples that were saved from exctinction were so
appreciated that they named us their leaders to make sure that war would not
occur again.
By that time, Darkon had proven to be one of my greatest warriors. Always
focused on the needs of justice. Infact, he was so into his way of thinking that
he began to beleive that the Teknos were destined to rule existence. I tried my
best to sway from him from his path of madness. But to no avail. For the safety
of all, I had him locked away and his power sealed. I didnt want to do it, he
was a great warrior and a good friend. Seeing the look of betrayal in his face
as I saw him sealed hurt me more than any battle I was ever in.
For several more millenia, peace lasted. But like before, it was not to last.
Darkon had been freed by his own power and had wanted vengeance against me and
the Teknos. By then, he was indeed lost to the madness that claimed his mind.
So, by using deceit he had learned from the pre-Second War time, he made us look
like we were hungry for power. His lies and crafts slowly drove us all out of
the offices that we were placed in many years before.
We did not mind, infact, we blindly hoped than they were soon ready to govern
themselves to peace. How wrong we were. As we prepared to return to our
sanctuary, we found that most of the races we swore to protect, had joined and
swore to destroy us. Our santcuary was destroyed. Most of the Teknos were lost
from technology specially made to destroy us. Nearly all hope was lost until the
attack force that was sent to destroy us was in turn destroyed by Darkon. Making
it look like he saved us.
Of course, we all knew that he was supposed to be sealed. He once more lied on
how he escaped. The seal I put him under, was powerful enough to keep in locked
up for all eternity or until the madness left him. He had used force to get out.
>From what I know, his hatred for me had given him the sufficient amount of power
to escape from his prison and appeared to be our savior. He then showed to us
what had happened when his mind was made of madness alone. He said that we were
powerful enough to acheive out destiny, Total control of all races. Deciding the
lives of countless beings like gods. Of course, we were against this, but his
influence and our position almost swayed us into beleiving him. Until another
Teknos Warroir, named Salian, had revealed Darkons method of escape and the
darkness eminating from it.
This did changed the way the rest of us though. So we came to destroy Darkon,
though my heart weighed heavy on that dark day. He knew that we knew and
surprised us. What few of the Teknos remained after that bloody battle had
nearly destroyed Darkon. Yet he was ready for if he lost. He was able to place
what remained of himself into an organic probe, specailly made to convert living
material into the predesignated race. Which was Teknos loyal to Darkon alone.
I too did not leave that battle unscathed. Infact, had he not turned all his
attention to me, the rest of the Teknos would have died. I was indeed dying. The
only regret was that I was not able to protect my followers who had severed me
so well, I didnt want them to face the end alone.
I told them to find Darkon and destroy him, lest he enslave other races. For the
sake of all that lived. Not all went, a few stayed, which were later hunted down
and destroyed by those whom we swore to protect. So, my body was lost. My soul
if you will, lived on, guiding my followers and stopping Darkon several times
before coming to Earth. For every attempt to stop Darkon failed, a few more
Teknos were lost. Until, the last one used her self destruction sequence to try
and stop him. Which failed as well.
I greived over the last of my dear friends. Sacrificing themselves, only to
fail. Then, he came to your system. I beleive you know what happened next.> he
finished.
She found her face soaked by tears. Wiping them off, she looked down <Im sorry,
I......I never knew.> Neigas sighed and patted her shoulder.
<There is no need to mourn over what is past. I have come here to make a request
of you, and your friend Ness.> he stepped and sat again. <I want you to revive
the Teknos. I want you and your friend to be my heirs.>
She gasped at the request. He, the creator of an entire race of people wanted
her (And possibly Slade) to continue a legacy of such great responsiblity, that
if everyone knew, that he would have been considered crazy. He still looked calm
as he continued < Let me know if you wish this or not. I would not force you
into something you would not want to do. All the other Teknos gave their lives
willingly to make sure that the peoples were safe. Would you not do the same
thing?> Then silence followed. Until she answered almost without sound.
<I.....I dont know....let me think about it. Please?> she
stammerd. He nodded, without looking as if he would eith be happy or not. He
still maintained that calm and cool look he always did.
<Very well. But remember. Darkon will not wait for you to come to a decision.>
he then turned, picked up his helmet and returned to the light from where he
came. Leaving her alone. The same power that she felt came flowing into her body
as it did for the past several hours, which seemed like only minutes.
She looked down to see that a covering of black armor had seeped over her body,
yet she
didnt feel a thing as it soon covered more of her body. Within a matter of
minutes, only her face wasnt covered by the black armor that seemed to either
grow on her or just appear out of nowhere. After that, several strands of light
began to fly about her, and wrap themselves around more obvious places of her
body. Her arms, legs, upper and lower body, were covered with a shining orange
metal that seemed more metallic than the oragnic material that came from it.
At least, her helmet came. This time several strands of light and a smaller
sphere of the same type of light hovered around her head, solidified, and slowly
floated to her head, like a puzzle. She felt nothing as the plates of the helmet
fused itself over her head. Then, the smaller sphere attached itself to her
head, and in an instant, understood everything. Everything she could do and how
to do it to the best of her inexperienced ability.
She reached into a light that came from her right hip on the small of her back
and pulled out a seperate strand of light, that looked awfully like Slades
Teknolance, but instead, the blade was at the top and curved at a gentle arc
downards. She now knew her name. She was now Teknoman Scythe, yet Tina Corman
still lived within.
After what seemed to be an eternity passed, Neigas once more appeared, but not
as spectacularly as before. <So then Teknoman Scythe. Have you decided upon my
proposal?> he was once more with his helmet donned and his staff in hand.
Tina did consider what the offer did propose. She had listened to Neigas story
and had discovered that if she did pass on this legacy, she would probably gain
immortality with the responsibility of guarding those with a just hand. Before
any of this all happened, she didnt have a clue what she would do if this event
would have never happened. If not, then humanity would have been lost, probably.
She still had a family and she wanted them to have a future, even if her younger
sister was a snot.
Then the possibility of her own future came to mind. Other than a comm officer,
she didnt know what she wanted to do. Fate had already done that once. Now it
seemed that fate would decide her life for her again, but it was her own choice
this was done. Her familiy meant everything to her, and now it seemed that she
would outlive them all. The only regret from all this is that her family would
never know that she would never become an old woman.
She didnt know if she would age and have children of her own, but once her
physical prime came, she would stay that way. That is what the result of the
transformation gave her. The prospect of outliving her own children didnt sound
appealing at all, but then again, no one had ever tried it that way before. So
there was still hope. It was fear of being alone that caused all these doubts.
So, shoving it aside, her answer came slowly, but true.
<Yes. I shall. But not for you, or your legacy, but for Earth and humanity.>
He nodded and spoke gently , as if fading away <I am not surprised. Many others
had saiud the same thing. Now, place your weapon against mine and you will
understand.> He reached his staff forward, as did she with her scythe head and
as the jewel on the heads of both weapons touched, many millenia on knowledge
came flooding like a tidal wave into her memory. Then, she felt reality pull her
out of the void. The process was complete. Teknoman Scythe was ready to defend
Earth.
*************************************************
It was at that time that Saber, Axe, Lance, and Rapier had chosen to attack the
command center, and aided by a hundred or so spidercrabs, nobody thought of
getting in their way.
"Lance. You take Rapier and move to the north and southern ends. Axe and myself
will go to the east and western ends. I dont want anyone escaping this compound
and the traitors will be destroyed. Am I making myself clear?" Saber commandeed
his subordinates.
"Yes Master." All three of them replied in unison, but if private thoughts were
heard, Saber would have heard Lance seeth. <I will listen to you now, but soon.
You will be calling me Master and I will be Master Darkons favorite and youll
be nothing more than what the traitors will be once I am through with them.>
*************************************************
The alarm cried alert as Jamisons voice was heard over the PA. "Attention.
Attention. All personel. Move to underground shelters. I repeat, we are under
attack, by both Teknomen and Spidercarbs. Move to underground shelters as soon
as humanly possible. All Teknosuit pilots, gear up and repel spidercrab assult.
Do Not. I prepeat Do not go up against any enemy Teknomen."
The message was repeated until all uneeded personel was moved into the shelters,
where they would hope to be safe from the attack. Within a matter of miuntes, 15
Teknosuit pilots had suited, charged up their guns and ran out to meet the
enemy. With Slade leading the way, in his Teknoman Plus form.
While back in the bay, something emerged from the darkness. Its height was
slightly taller than most humans, and it had a glowing blue eye, searching for
the exit.
*************************************************
With the enhanced force shield defending the perimeter, the compound seemd safe
for only as twice as long as it did the last time and that was not long. As the
bay doors opened, the defense force of the Space Knights had moved out and
engaged the enemy immediately. Wthin seconds, Z-Tron energy spheres had leveled
50% of the enemy forces and still going down rapidly. The day seemed won.
Already, except for Slade.
Even with his new found powers, going up against Saber was hard enough, but
with another 3 Teknomen attacking him simulainously, he almost had no chance.
Backing him into a corner, the four enemy Teknomen closed in like ravenous
wolves for the kill.
"Whats the matter Slade? Even with this unusual new power you have, you still
cant take me in a fair fight?" Saber mocked as his subordinates walked behind
him. All four of them preparing to fire their own teknobolt at the traitor of
Darkon.
"Oh really? You should talk about fighting fair Saber." Slade said while
bringing up his gauntlets, the plates sliding down to reveal the second set of
QEBs, almost waiting for the incoming onslaught. Feeling their battle won, all
four teknomen fired their own QEBs at Slade with enough power to take out an
enitre metropolis, but as they saw the resulting explosion, they saw a second
light coming from inside the blast site. Before any four of them, the blast
reformed and shot back at them, adding more power and speed to the energy
discharge.
For Saber and his lackeys, dodging the oncomiong energy blast was almost a
miracle. All four of them uinscathed physically, but their countanences had
suffered greatly. Walking from the oval shaped crater, Slade snikered at the
enemy. "You looked surprised Saber. Never thought I could surprise you did I?"
Looking back at the devistation then at his foe. "Ok Saber. No more tricks. Just
you and me! NOW!" , with out another word, he flew towards his brother at a pace
that startled everyone, but Saber.
Blades clashed like stars as the two brothers fought to their limites to see
the other dead. "Quicklu, we must help master Saber." Axe proclaimed as he began
to move, with Rapier behind him. Lance not moving "Lance, come on! Saber needs
our help!" Axe insisted to his ally, but before the difiant Teknoman could even
reply, a shout was heard an a explosion of energy followed.
"TEKNO SLASH!"
Then, a cresent wave of orange screamed past the three as they saw the source.
It was another Teknoman, and this one didnt come from Darkon either. The
orange colored knight, walked casually to the edge of the cliff underneath them
and cried to get their attention, as if theyd had it enough already.
"Hey boys! Wanna play ball?" the orange, white, black armored and definately
feminine looking Teknoman said. In its right hand, it carried a nasty looking
scyther, the pole twice the length of her arm and the blade length curved and 3
meters long.
Before anyone of the three could ask, she answered for them.
"I am Teknoman Scythe!"
End of Chapter 2

Authors Notes:
{The SD boy comes out again.}
Well, the end of another happy dosage for all you teknoman fans out there.
Once more, I hope you liked it. I got at least 5 good responses from people who
enjoyed it and that motivated me enough to write more. Even without their
compliments, I still would have written it.
In the tv series, Slade briefly explained how the teknotranformation process
went, he said that it stretched the human bodies to their limits. So I went
further and did the same thing to emotions. After all, arent they a driving
force in motivation?
I made Neigas from my own imagination, as the Teknos, their past, the legacy,
and even Darkon once being a good guy. I know, it kinda ruins the way Slade said
it in the series, but it sure is cool.
Oh yeah, a final thing before I go, keep a lookout for a picture of Tina in her
Teknoman form. I will post it as soon as it I finish it. So stay stuned. Same
Tekno-time, Same Tekno-channel.
Send your E-mail to Khryis@hotmail.com. I really need your input, and if
possible could you go into detail on why you like it? It would definately help.
