I find this really depressing. Young Alexis will always have this story ringing
in his ears, and the bell cannot be unrung. No matter how often he might read
all 38 manga, or watch all 162 television episodes, which show otherwise, he will
always have this story in the back of his mind. That's something to cry about.
Wow, Joseph...you really _are_ the quintessence of WAFF.
Errr.....I'm a girl.
Hmmm... Where have I heard _this_ before? :)
Maybe someone should get some hot water, just to make sure. :)
And you're right...I'll NEVER look at Ranma 1/2 the
same way again! *rifles through her fanfic folders* WHERE'S MY COPY OF
"THE MORE THINGS CHANGE"?!!! I need cheering up BAD!
BLAM! Yikes! Uhh... careful with that rifle! :)
Anyways, I always find "Life's Dulse Moments" to be a good fix after
reading a sad, depressing fic. Oddly enough, I didn't have to for
"Bitter End". Despite my exaggerated response in my comments, I seem
to have snapped back to a normal mental state (well, at least as
close to normal as I can get :) faster than some people on the list.
So does this mean I'm getting old and cynical?
Yes, I will never be able to look at R1/2 the same way again, either.
But then, all good fanfiction has that effect on me, be it positive,
negative, or indifferent. However, I can still read the original
manga and get the same kicks out of their looney antics that I did
before, and that, I think, is the most important thing.
