You know, for years I've been working against discrimination of any type
when it comes to Anime and Manga.
For the first time in my life, I see a people to whom I have to defend the
opinion of those against Manga and Anime.
Even if the person is against such efforts, what gives anyone the right to
try and ban their page from being seen by others. The same way you have a
right to put up information and opinions expressed by you so does someone
else, as long as they are not militant about it. By going and trying to
get a web page banned because you don't like the message, you are now
guilty of censorship.
This from a group who is angry every time censorship occurs due to
religious reasons, slight nudity, blood being shown, or the heroes and
heroines dying, or that it is too violent.
I am actually ashamed to be associated with people doing this.
Let me ask you a simple question:
If you do not like censorship, why are you so for it?
You'll notice I've been quiet on this little thread.
I don't believe in censorship. No matter how abusive, gratuitous, and
annoying some pinhead's tirades are, he has a right to speak his mind. The
best way to get rid of him is to ignore him.
Instead, the members of this group have probably given his site more hits in
one night than he would have recieved all -month- otherwise.
I won't cry if GeoCities punts his butt for violations of their terms of
service. However, I think that a lot of wavelength and annoyance has been
wasted on a git who really is -not- worth it.
You don't need censorship by the authorities when censorship by lack of
audience is more effective.
