True, but that's in the canon. This is a post-canon story which involves the
two willingly marrying one another, something which requires them to have an
interactive relationship more developed than 'Kawaiikune! Ranma no baka!'

Except if you'll notice, the marriage happens *awfully* quickly, and I 
got the distinct impression that both of them rushed into it without 
really thinking too much about it. It's like the abortive attempt 
convinced them that "Yes, this is going to happen, might as well get it 
over with." Which is not a good attitude to take into a marriage...
