Look closer and you will see that there are far more cases of
Ranma punting Happosai or his father compared to Akane punting Ranma.
You'll also see that many story arcs end in a bit of domestic humor,
with Ranma and Akane together.

I've noticed a lot of people on the list have a "Violent Akane"
opinion, I wonder if some of that comes from the VIZ dubs where
the only emotion that seems to come through Akane's voice is

In my case, I can certainly say "no". I have very little experience
with the anime, subbed, dubbed, or original.

anger. In the original Japanese there is a sweetness and strength
that comes through in the in-between scenes that is missing in
the dub.

I feel a loss to the Ranmaverse whenever an author writes something
where the characters hurt each other.

I wouldn't go quite that far. I don't like it, to be sure, but that's
beside the point. Few fanfics are so bad that they contribute
absolutely nothing to Ranma fandom, and none that I've seen take
anything away from it.

IMHO, of course.

Anyways, after reading that little piece, I think I understand Mr.
Palmer's fics a bit better.

BTW, sorry to sound like a whiner, but please watch your line length.
Some of the lines in this post went over 80 characters.
