This was originally written after reading BE in prereading for the
first time. I was depressed, impressed, and more than a little
whacked...Zen gave permission, so:
Akane looked down
- to see the thick red stains that covered her hands, and the front of
her gi.
Akane screamed.
"Aaah!"
"What? What is it?"
Akane spun round, seeing her husband sitting up beside her. She grabbed
him in a desperate hug. "Oh, Ranma, it was horrible!! I killed you, and
Ukyou, and I couldn't control myself! I beat you, over and over..."
Ranma, concerned, gently interrupted. "Hey, c'mon, Akane. You know you
don't do that any more."
"But it wasn't the same! I was really hurting you! And it wasn't even
that different - I was still me..."
"All right, Akane, calm down. It couldn't have been you. You would never
do that to me, now, would you?"
Akane sniffed. "No, of course not. I love you, Ranma."
Ranma smiled. "I love you too. Now just go back to sleep, and tomorrow
you'll have forgotten all about it. Besides, we need to be ready for
the ceremony tomorrow."
Akane snuggled down again and grinned. "I never would have guessed that
Ukyou, Shampoo, and Kodachi would all end up with each other..."
