After everyone else reposted their April Fool's jokes, I thought I'd
repost mine...Blade, this one's for you. :-)

Ranma 1/2: Glory Box

Ranma awoke from a nightmare. His body glistened with sweat, and
he hyperventilated as he tried to get back under control.
He had dreamed that Ucchan was alive again, that the past few
days had all been one sick dream. It was so real. He had felt so happy
that he could see her again, apologize to her for the things he had
said.
Sighing, Ranma got up. Things like that just didn't happen. He
decided to check on Ukyou's ashes, making sure that everything was still
in order. They were a few days out from Ukyou's village, and Ranma was
getting more nervous the closer they got.
Suddenly, Ranma noticed that something was wrong. They were gone!
The vase was spilled over, and no trace of Ukyou's ashes remained. He
quickly looked over the countryside, but could see no one in sight.
He went to the next tent. "Akane! Ukyou's missing!"
Akane woke up rather blearily. "What?"
"Her ashes have disappeared! Someone must have taken them!"
Akane paled. This was a disaster. If something happened to Ukyou's
remains, there was no telling what Ranma would do. "OK, Ranma, don't
panic. Let's spread out and search."
Suddenly there was a voice from behind him. "It's alright, Ranchan.
I'm here."
Slowly they turned, step by step, inch by inch, until they were
faced with Ukyou, looking radiant and very much alive. She was dressed
all in white, and a glow covered her body. "I'm sorry, Ranchan. I didn't
mean for you to go through all this."
     Ranma was in shock. "Wha...how...?"
Ukyou smiled her beatific smile. "Do you really need to ask, Ranchan?"
Ranma was jerked back to reality. "Then, you mean it's true?"
Akane was watching the exchange in puzzlement. "What's true?"
Ranma turned to Akane. "I didn't believe it at first - it seemed
impossible. There was that kid, but Ucchan said that it was just a nursing
technique she'd picked up. And I wondered how the Ucchan kept going even
after they'd run out of everything but bread and fish..."
Akane began to realize. "You don't mean..."
Ranma turned in awe towards Ukyou. "And now she's risen from the
dead. It's been three days now."
They both turned towards Ukyou, who just smiled. "You always were
smarter than people gave you credit for, Ranchan."
Ranma got down on his knees, Akane following him. "The messiah!" he
breathed...
