your reasons for objecting, such as the fact that Ranma is, for all
intents and purposes, being molested by her own father, then you make
your point. (BTW, Shadow Dancer, I do think you've gone a bit far
there. Glomping is one thing; the hotel another.)

It's not clear from this story exactly what went on in the hotel. In the
original series, Happosai (disguised as P-chan) had taken the sleeping Akane
onto the roof. All he did was snuggle up next to her. Ranma expects the worst,
but (s)he could be wrong.

Now, assuming that Happi really is molesting Ranma in the hotel, is that going
too far? [Note: The following represents my own personal opinions ONLY.] It
depends. If it is just being done to shock the readers, then it is bad. If it
will lead to something worthwhile in the story, if it enhances character
development and the readers' emotional involvement in the story, then it is
good. Whether it does remains to be seen. One thing seems clear, the story is
certainly not going to make any kind of realistic statement on the subject of
incest, because Happosai is not a realistic character and does not have the
psychology of a realistic child molester.
