Well, true, but in this case, it's actually a translation from English to
Japanese and back again (he's named after a mineral, you see, and that
mineral's spelling in English is 'jadeite.')  And in any case, if you're
just going for a transliteration of the katakana, you'd use 'Jedaito'
according to most systems.  It's your choice, but a lot of Sailor Moon
fans are a bit finicky about the names people choose to use.

	Sailor Venus.  They are Sailor Senshi, and each of them is called
"Sailor ----".  Not "Senshi ------"

Um, so? I know, but I don't call them that - I think it's demeaning to call
them by what they wear, rather than what they do, what they ARE.  And I
think Senchi is cooler anyhow :)

Except for two things: 1) every single time in the show or the manga
someone refers to them by any sort of heroic name, it's 'Sailor <insert
planetary body here>' or, if they're being a bit more familiar, just
'<insert planetary body here>'.  I don't believe they've ever been called
'Senshi <ipbh>'.  2) 'Senchi' is misspelling it anyway.  'Shi' and 'chi'
are two completely different characters.  It's like saying you'll call
some people by their military ranks to show respect and then calling them
'Kernel Smith,' 'Sergent Jones,' 'Lutenant Doe,' and 'Genrl Adams' or
whatnot.

All the terminology and spelling quibbles aside, this does look like it
could be neat - a massive, time-consuming undertaking, but all the more
breathtaking if you pull it off.  Best of luck to you!
