The Truth Comes Out...

        Akane sighed. She and Ranma seem to just get worse and worse. Ranma
taunting her, calling her unfeminine. Goddess, things just seemed to go
downhill from when Ranma first arrived at the Tendou Dojo. Ever since Ranma
first made that "I'm better built" crack.

        *SPLASH* "HEY! What the hell are you doing, Pop?!" came the shout
of Ranma. Genma, as that worthless panda, tromped down the hallway with a
sign saying, "We gotta leave quickly, son!"

        "Why the heck do we gotta leave?!" Ranma demanded.

        "No time! C'mon!" the panda signed, and lept over the wall.

        "Saotome-kun! Where are you going?!" Soun shouted after the panda,
and started chasing the beast.

        "Hello. Are you Tendou-san?" asked a woman's voice, Kasumi-like.

        Soun turned his head to find a middle aged woman in a kimono
looking back at him. She smiled. "I'm Saotome Nodoka. Ranma's mother," she
said, bowing.

        "Wonder how Saotome-ojisan caught _her_!" Nabiki said, poking her
head out the door and into the yard.

        Soun bowed to Nodoka. "Greetings, Saotome-san. I am Soun Tendou."

        "Do you happen to know where Ranma and my husband are? It's been so
long since I've seen either of them," Nodoka trailed off, sad eyed and
sighing.

        "Well, they're not here at the moment, but they'll be back pretty soon."

        Nodoka smiled, radiating kindness with her features. In many ways,
she seems much like Kasumi. "That's good. I hear Ranma has a fiance."

        Beaming proudly, Soun presented Akane to his sister-in-law to be.
"And here she is! This is Akane, my youngest daughter. Say hi to Ranma's
mother, Akane."

        Deadpan, Akane looked at Nodoka's shocked features (?) and said,
"Hi to Ranma's mother."

        Nodoka stared very shocked at Akane for a minute.

        "What?" Akane asked.

        The mother of Ranma raised her head to Soun, and asked shakingly,
"Sh-she's Ranma's FIANCEE?!"

        Soun laughed. "Cute, no? She'll make a fine wife for your son!"

        "B-But Tendou-san, Ranma isn't my son," Nodoka said, confused and
shocked at Soun's designation of her child, "She's my _daughter_!"

        There was a gastly silence.

        "D-Daughter?" Akane breathed.
