If your writing it just to get the story out, why change anything...if
your writing to impress other writers, like Redneck Gaijin, then you
WILL have to rewrite the whole thing...If your writing it as a public
service to fandom at large, keep it in the script format and find a good
artist, DOUSHINJI!

I think it would also depend on your writing strengths.  I know some
writters that have a easier time of writting scripts simply because they
"think" in a script format.  They find prose harder to write because they
want to put stuff like [Akane brandishes mallot] instead of writting
something full out.

Write what your comfortable writting in.  Once it's done then go back and
try and re-write it.  That way you have definite points, a beginning and an
ending.  In scripts you could say "fade to black" and get away with it but
in prose that just wouldn't really work :)
