Everyone...
I apologize for the flame a bit ago to that guy who basically said I was a
bitch for not letting him post to the list. I was just really angry and I
tend to have a temper sometimes :/ Gomen.
Anway... I just thought I would post WHY you aren't supposed to post it to
the list.
1. I came up with this idea in the summer of 1995... and this is the 3rd
time I have updated it. I tend to think of this project as my baby, and I
want to do it as a SERVICE to the readers, writers, and lurkers on the list.
2. I want to make sure that these are all charted and recorded so that they
can go in a permanent file, I try and save every bio I get, though some do
get lost sometimes, for which I apologize. If you post them to the list,
there is a 95% chance that I won't get it, and that it will get lost in my
FFML grab pile. If you send it to ME it goes directly into my Bios file
where it stays until I can work on it.
3. The FFML Bios will SOON be posted at Albercrombie's (Gopher's) Official
FFML page, where you can go look at updates as soon as I can get them in
there.
4. I WILL NOT keep posting new Bios every time I get an update because most
of the updates don't just affect 1 or 2 of the Bio Lists, but ALL of them.
Therefore I would have to post new updates practically EVERY WEEK! This
would end up in a LOT of SPAM and I know that some people on this list
can't handle that much backup on their server. Therefore I will probably
update every 1-2 months on the MAILING LIST. I will try to update the Bios
Page at Gopher's site a lot more frequently once it is up!
5. When I started this project, dear White Wolf asked me SPECIFICALLY not
to have the Bios posted to this list, because the sever will keep breaking
down if people send in 1000 posts at once. We want to keep the SPAM at a
minimum for ALL our sakes: yours, mine, and Thom's (White Wolf's).
BTW, if you didn't bother to read your FAQ, you should know that White Wolf
is in charge of this list.
I hope this clarifies matters, and I am sorry about any previous confusion.
