(checking the manga for Stars) Hmm. Doesn't seem to give the school a name
here. I can't recall if there was ever a name given to it in the series,
either, for that matter... hmm.

In the manga, they're students at the same school with the rest of the
Inners. In the anime, it's questionable WHAT they do in their off time,
since you don't SEE them in Stars unless there's a plot point. I assume
they live off the revenues from Michiru's CD's, and Haruka's occasional
race winnings. 

   If they are students, what do they study?

In the manga, Haruka is head of the football club, and Michiru is head of
the marine club. I think it's safe to say that since they're high school
students, they study the same thing everyone else does. Though it's a
good bet Michiru is heavily involved in band. I can't say with absolute
certainty what Haruka would be studying as a 'major'. (though if I recall
the bio correctly, she dislikes math)
