I never know if I've insulted Richard with my C&C or not, because he
NEVER REPLIES!!

Well, he's replied to me.  ^_^  

There is one prob with this situation here that most of us don't 
understand: The boyo got dozens of emails on this one.  It can't be easy 
to reply to them all.  I'm not excusing him, just giving a possible reason 
why.

However, you do make a valid point.  Writers should at least say thanks 
when they receive an email like that whenever possible.  Not only is it 
courteous and lets people who read your work know that you do care about 
what they think, it can also lead to some fascinating conversations 
with people and a better understanding or viewpoint in your writing.
