Very true.  I can tell whether a person has really been putting an effort
into writing the fic and those are the ones that I will like to read and
enjoy reading.

I consider what makes me write fanfic. I've always been a big 'what if?'
person, as I'm sure most of you are too. But what ismpires you to write
fanfics? About any series? Any genre`? For the sole purpose of
entertaining others?

I sometimes use the "what if" method.  However, in most cases, I write fics
because I am a big anime fan.  I am EXTREMELY interest in the subject matter
and I often thought that it would be interesting to write about them.  As
some people on the ML have realized already, the fanfic genre that I usually
write have to do with YAOI.  Why?  I guess that's because I am a very very
open-minded person.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that anyone is not
open-minded.  I'm just "out there."  I guess it is also due to the fact that
I consider myself a pretty TWISTED person.  I always have to write down my
ideas on paper because if I don't, the ideas will be running around in my
head and they won't leave me alone.  This gets VERY painful when the ideas
just keep on coming, such is in the case of my recent fic "Hunter & Prey."
I write fics to entertain myself and others.  I feel a sense of fulfillment
when I found that other people enjoy reading them.  It makes me feel good
when someone is enjoying something that I did after all the hard work I've
put into it.
