Basically, as I said, I write because the alternative is too
difficult to accept.
I write for many different reasons. I write when I'm depressed to try to
express my feeling and worries in a form that others can understand. I
write when I'm feeling philosophical and want to try to convey a message
to others.
But overall, I write because it's fun. I sometimes write for others, but
often I write for myself. I have a rather substantial number of stories I
wrote which have been stored away on tape backup or on my local drivve,
which I've never published, and in many cases, never shown to anyone. I
write because I enjoy it; that's all the motive I need.
