As to stronger, yes Ranma is. Ranma is shown to lift stuff which is

This is one point I wish people would remember more often. Canonical
Ranma has at _least_ Spider-Man level superhuman powers. His strength,
speed, and endurance are _far_ above those of an unaugmented mortal.
But then, I remember people forgetting this in the Priss+Hardsuit
vs. Ranma debate...

Just wondering, on a side note, where this would put Ryouga on the scale.
It's been established that, though Ranma excells in speed and technique,
he's never surpassed Ryouga in terms of pure brute strength and endurance.
Remember, though Ranma _can_ use Ryouga's umbrella as a weapon, Ryouga can
propell the thing several hundred yards through the air while at the same
time inducing enough rotational force to get it to come back to him. Also,
Ryouga's bakusai tenketsu training gives him skin tough enough to fend off
a shrapnel grenade.

I don't know if its just an idea that my brain has formed for some reason,
or if its true, but where does it show that, *when it comes down to it*,
Ryouga is stronger than Ranma? i've only read all the viz manga and the
near-end japanese tankoubon, so i may be missing some vital evidence, but
usually i see Ranma neatly emulating Ryouga's feats of strength when he
*has* to. i guess i attribute this to the fact that Ranma has a lot more
ability than Ryouga and needs not rely on brute muscle; it follows that
Ryouga does need to use this factor more, so it is *this* that we see.
I could go into evidence that i might want to dig up, but its too
late at night. i'll just say 'go to the Ranma 1/2 faq and look at Ranma's
bio.' That's got a good analysis of the situation.

sweet dreams,
