After reading Half Truth, I found myself curious as to who is behind all
of this. I would guess Shampoo, as almost all of the characters attacked
were out to keep her from marrying Ranma on her own terms, save Konatsu,
whom I believe was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Anywho, I found the fic to be an effective lead in to what has the
potential to be an interesting story, although I believe that there were
too many clues given out for the first part. The fact that this is meant
to be read in one sitting may make that criticism obsolete, however. I'd
need to know the pace of the final version to make a definite decision on
that. Also, the you handled Ranma beating the crap out of his father
seems out of character to me. I believe that Ranma would be more likely
to either ignore his father or confront him emotionally. I feel that if
Ranma were mentally stable enough to realize that his father is the
reason that he hadn't seen his mother in ten years, he would be calm
enough to not beat his own father to a pulp. On the other hand, if Ranma
hed become angry enough, then he would probably lash out against pretty
much everything he saw; his destruction would not be focused on one
target. Beyond those two petty points, I have found Half Truth to be an
intense, spellbinding effort, and I am interested in seeing te completed
version.
