She may be of the same species but I seriously doubt it's the same
woman.  Then again maybe she was a consort of Jabba's who fell out of
favour and ended up as a floor dancer?  We may never know.

I don't think she woud've been at Jabba's quite so early...

Let's see... Aha! In "Heir to the Empire" by Timothy Zahn,  Mara explain's
to 
Luke how the Emperor knew that he would be going to Jabba's palace to 
rescue Han, and sent her there to kill him.  So the earliest moments for
her 
to be at Jabba's would have been right after the end of The Empire Strikes 
Back.   And she went in there as a dancer.

And yes, she is human...  (Unless there's something we weren't told about 
at any rate! ^_^)
