As to what -kun is i forget.  But -chan mean like "cute" or you use it when
addressing someone you know very well.  Like a little sister you'd say for
example Jane-Chan.  Chan is something you never use in a formal situation.

Heh.  I have to much of my Japanese1 class on my brain.  Formal...informal...
