This is just a draft, I have a few more ideas that need to be worked
through, but this puppy is holding up later parts (4 and 7) which are
allready done. C&C is needed and welcome. Thanks to Bobkat who re-wrote
chapt one, and Ryan, even if he has a ryouko bias.

Tenchi Muyo: Heaven and Earth, Chapter 2: The Tears of Avalon.
The Emperor's mood was as dark as the vacuum beckoned beyond him. The court
was abuzz with trivialities. One noble talked of the weather on his fair
planet, another of the sheer magnificence of the floating palace, which
surrounded them like a canopy of the finest crystal. One noble's wife was
showing off her latest dress, and all were partaking of the vintage wine.
The Emperor knew that the significance of the occasion which had escaped
the nobles notice. For the first time in a millennium the council was
convened.
Like lemmings to water, the Council members entered the court. The
political game of siting as close to the emperor as possible, and
therefore, closer to the political power, was played between Knight & Noble.
Misaki and Funaho took their customary position beside the king. Behind
him, Seriyou, the well spoken and influential regent of Aldera, perched
himself behind the Emperor.
Seriyou's very presence gave the Emperor pause. The Masati bloodline, of
which Seriyou was born, was beginning to challenge the Jurai's. Once the
secret was revealed, it would only strengthen the Masati's hold upon his
kingdom.
The court was convened. The speeches were given, and soon only Seriyou's
speech remained. Seriyou's speech was conciliatory, but irreverent. The
court could smell blood in the water, and soon, some began to cheer Seriyou
on. When his Speech was done, he sat down, with a smug look on his face.
"Indecisiveness will kill me", the Emporer decided, "this threat must be
delt with". The first proclamation of a council usually set the mood for
the council session. "I hereby summon: Aeka Jurai, Sasami Jurai, and Tenchi
Masaki to Jurai.
The entire court looked stunned, and Seriyou's face twisted as he attempted
to decipher the kings move. "Truly killing two birds with one stone" The
king thought. The Courier brought a written copy of his proclamation, and
with a long, exaggerated stroke of the pen, Azusa set forth his plan. As
with all great villains, he then unleashed a sinister laugh, which echoed
throughout the Chambers.
"Too much Sake, Misaki whispered to Funaho..."

Compared to the bustle of the Jurai court, the Masaki domicile was
relatively quiet. It was the day before Christmas and the house filled with
silent Christmas cheer. Aeka had stolen away to work on her present for
Tenchi, and Ryouko was off, in search for the ultimate present. Ryo-oh-ko
was watching TV, and Washu was hammering away at something in her lab.
Mihoshi was dozing on the couch, slobbering, and snoozing like a baby.
Tenchi sighed, as he sat in front of the fire, thinking of the last few
days. Moments like these were few, and precious.

Aeka was in her room, in front of her sat a brand new Jurai battle uniform.
Tenchi was about to turn 19, and by Jurain Custom, was now a man. Another
custom was that, at the age of 19, a Jurain man would be given a suit of
armor from the one who loved him most. "Surely I lov. . . . " Aeka's
thought was cut short, as she heard Sasami rolling & Muttering in the bed
next to her.
"No Tokimi, don't take him away"
"Father. . ."
Aeka noticed that Sasami was shivering. Aeka quickly grabbed a blanket, and
covered Sasami. "Sasami can sometimes have prophetic dreams," Aeka thought.
"I wonder if I should wake her."
"Ryouko!!!!" Sasami whispered in her sleep.
"RYOUKO!!! Aeka thought. What is Ryouko doing in Sasami's dream, only
Kagato and Tokimi were in Sasami's dream, "That witch must be planning
something, I must guard Tenchi . . . " and with that last thought, Aeka
surrendered to sleep.
And Sasami shivered in her bed.

"You understand what you must do then?", Seriyou asked. "Hai" they
responded. "It is crucial that you do this, I can take down the old goat,
if you can do this. "Hai" they responded once again. "Very good, don't
disappoint me." Seriyou walked away, slowly, as the two men disappeared
into the night sky. "The Jurai empire is mine, Seriyou thought. ."

Tenchi awoke to the normal sounds of Aeka and Ryouko fighting downstairs.
Looking out his window, he could see a small flurry of snow. "Meow,
Meooooow" called as she jumped through the door. "Tenchi neechan" Sasami
called "It's Christmas, wake up!!
"OK, Sasami, I'm up" Tenchi said. Tenchi slowly strangled out of bed.
Ryo-oh-ki hissed as it saw the snow outside.
As Tenchi walked down the stairs, he could hear the girls arguing.
"Tenchi-sama should get my gift first." "And why is that, princess". As the
fight escalated, Tenchi silently banged his head against the wall.
Tenchi looked down at the bundle of clothes that sat before him. A sweater
from his father, (as well as a videotape, which we will not name, this is,
after all, a family story), Aeka's battle suit, and a pair of pants from
his aunt.
Tenchi wondered why he allways got clothes for Christmas.
Tenchi instantly blushed and stammered out "Thank you Aeka". Tenchi slowly
handed Aeka a gift. Aeka quickly grabbed the box and opened it. With a
squeal of delight, she took out the necklace tenchi gave her, and put it
on. Aeka giggled, and Ryouko looked suspiciously at Tenchi and Aeka.
"Tenchi-dono, open my present" Washu clammered.
"Ah Washu-chan, if anyone will give me something other then clothes it will
be Washu". Tenchi took Washu's present, and opened it.
"HOW DARE YOU GIVE THAT TO MY Tenchi" Ryouko demanded of Washu. "Huh"
Tenchi thought, as he looked down at the gift Washu had given him. In his
hands, Tenchi held a pair of white silk briefs, which had little red crabs,
Pokka-doted on them. Tenchi instantly blushed, and Sasami giggled. The joke
was lost on Mihoshi though.
For once in his life, Tenchi felt at peace, Ryo-oh-ki was in the corner,
stuffed from all of the Carrots (all of her presents were carrots, after
all), Nobiuki was slobbering while watching all of the girls, Aeka and
Ryouko were staring each other down.
The exchange of gifts continued, but Tenchi drifted off into his own world.
Everything was so quit, so perfect, except it didn't seem complete. "Where
is ji-chan", Tenchi wondered, "Why isn't he here?".
At that moment, however, the rumbling of engines drowned out any response
that the world might offer. Everyone looked suspiciously at Mihoshi, who
returned their pointed glares, with a clueless "I am a little deer in the
headlights look".
Looking out the window, a large, metallic ship was landing in the middle of
the bay. Waves crashed around the ship, as it gently put down. A small
metalic plank extended, and two men, obviously Jurain walked out.
"eeeeeeeeeeehhh?" Tenchi asked. The men began to walk towards Tenchi's
house, One walked with a noticable limp.
The two men paraded themselved up to the house, and then knelt at the foot
of Tenchi & Aeka.
"Princess Aeka, Princess Sasami, Prince Tenchi, we have been ordered to
escort you home".
