Ok, things are going slow so I'm gonna do this 'fic just right! Tell me if my
Kunou/Kodachi dialogue is OOC at all or there's any problems with the story
so far.
I want to make sure I get this RIGHT! C&C, usual stuph, etc, ad nauseum.
Thanks for
all the support for the idea so far.

"NO WAY, POP! I AIN'T GOING THROUGH WITH IT!" screamed a rather
feminine voice. "And you CAN'T make me!"
A red-haired Chinese girl ran into sight from behind a corner, carrying
a backpack. Onlookers didn't seem to notice much until from around the
corner tromped a huge, puffed-up, Panda bear. Its face held little
expression except for the slitted eyes through which it peeked.
They were eyes of anger and disappointment.
It whirled out a wooden sign out of nowhere (later revealed to be
hammerspace), which read, 'YOU *WILL* GO, YOUNG LADY!'
The girl's eyes lit up, and stopped running.
"Was that supposed to be funny?!" she commented as she leaped up and
kicked the bear onto its rump. It growled in protest and sweeped the girl's
legs out from underneath her.
"Well, I still think the whole thing--" she leaped to her feet and grabbed the
panda's arm, hurling the creature a few feet down the way, "--SUCKS!"
"Besides," she grimaced, "this guy 'Kunou' sounds like a real nut case! How
could you promise me to someone without even asking?!!" She grabbed her
backpack off the ground nearby.
The panda grunted something unintelligble, which was really the only kind it
was capable of. It lay on the ground, watching nothing in particular, as if
absorbing what the young lady was saying. Others on the street started
murmuring and watching in awe.
"Say, is that a panda?" someone dumbly asked.
"That IS a panda, isn't it?" another onlooker added to the query.
Slinging the backpack over her shoulder, she began to walk back in the
direction whence she came. She quickly stopped for a second and purchased
something from a frightened vendor.
She walked back to the still, silent form of the bear and deftly shoved an
object into its mouth.
"I'm going back to China...So, suck on THAT, old man!" she quipped, walking
away again.
The Panda raised its head, eyes glaring. It spat out the pacifier. With a
mighty growl, the giant Ailuropodidean thrust itself to its feet; it made sure
to correct its balance so as not to topple over the other way. The bear watched
the girl slowly make progress down the street, her pace confident and sure.
The girl studied the scenery, noticing now and then guys stopping to whistle or
oogle. She quickly learned to ignore them. Except, of course, the ones that
stopped to hit on her. She sure HIT on them back. That got the message through.
"I can't believe that old fart," she thought, watching a couple cuddle on a
park bench, "promising me to a girl I haven't even MET! What if she's built like
a brick? Or her knees are too thick? Or her cooking makes me sick?" Were she
anyone else, she might have broken into song.
"In any event," she sighed, "I can't deal with crap like this while I haven't
solved my *other* problem." A strong gust blew at her back; slightly unusual,
considering it had basically been a windless day.
She thought little next, however, when a huge 'something' made itself
noticeable
on the back of her skull, dragging her into the pit of darkness.
The panda, self-satisfied that his blow had been acceptable, threw down the
stop
sign and carried the red-haired damsel over his shoulder, grunting a little tune
in Panda-speak. This time, its step had a bit of a jump to it.

"Fiancee?!!" yelled a suprised Ms. Kunou Kodachi.
Tatiwaki nodded. "Yes, little sister. Apparently our dear departed father made
a promise many years ago with his friend, Genma Saotome. They promised that
one day
their children would marry. One being you, dear sister, and Saotome's son,
Ranma."
"Hear me well, big brother" she returned, clearly ignoring the vague reference
to George Orwell, "it will be I who choose whom I marry. Much the same as your
moniker, is it not?"
Kunou flushed. "You know me too well, sister. But, it would do you well to
at least entertain the idea. It would be impolite to throw Saotome-san out just
as quickly as entered." He looked straight into her eyes.
"As much as I do not approve of such proceedings, I want to retain our father's
honor and memory. I would ask you to give Ranma a chance."
"Very well, brother," she nodded assent. "I shall make their stay as
comfortable as
possible. I will even allow Sasuke to assist me in the kitchen for
tonight's dinner."
She let go with that annoying laugh Kunou always dreaded.
Kunou lowered his head. "Excellent, Kodachi. But, dear sister--?" he paused.
"Yes, brother?" she reponded.
"Please try not to poison our guests for once. They are welcome here."
"Oh, brother," she stood, "you take the fun out of everything."
