Chapter 3 (UN)Bedecked
I woke up early, for me. I woke up very annoyed. You wouldn't
blame me. "Ishtay!!! Time to get up!!!" My father can be very
loud at certain times
of the day, and this was one of them.
"G'way..." I moaned.
"Do you know how long we were WAITING for you?" Loud my father
may be, but
this persistance he usually saved for when something REALLY bad
happened.
"No, I don't..." I grumbled, "As far as I know, I was gone for
only two or
three hours." I started getting ready to fall asleep again.
"Since when did 'two or three hours' EVER turn into an ENTIRE
WEEK?!?!" That got my attention, "An entire week? Holy shit! I
never thought
instant travel would take so long." I started giggling, "Cool! Now I
have a way to get out of writing quizzes!" I calmed down, a bit,
"Truthfully, Dad, how long was I gone?"
"Like I said," He toned his voice down, "an entire week." I got
nervous
and looked at my calendar, sure enough, another week of days were
crossed off the sheet.
It suddenly wasn't a laughing matter anymore, "Cripes... I
thought it was
only two or three hours, that's all it felt like," All of a sudden I
felt this strong tugging on my right arm.
Well, it was more than tugging, really.
Now that I think about it, I believe I flew three feet to the
door of my
room.
"Help!" I croaked as I flew through a portal that wasn't there a
few
seconds ago.
Can't a guy get five minuites of sleep?
