Ok, here's the scoop. I've kind of been tired trying to compose my other
Ranma fanfic stories, so I've tried my luck at writing Tenchi Muyo fanfics.
I've been exposed to Tenchi Muyo recently, and I must say what an
interesting series. It's a shame that not a lot of Tenchi fanfics have
been composed as opposed to Ranma 1/2, so here it my first ever Tenchi Muyo
fanfic. Please respond, as this will help me to determine whether I should
focus 100% on Ranma 1/2 or try to diversify.

Oh, yeah. By the way, I haven't read this story that deeply so, it might
seem a wee bit rough and confusing.

Tenchi Muyo Ryo-Ohki! OAV 2.5! (Well, I can't wait until they make a 3rd
OAV series, if they ever get around to doing it...)

Chapter 1: Dreams are what Little Girls are Made of.

"Lady Tokomi, what should we do about this boy? And what is that
three bladed sword that he can summon?" Lady Tokomi looked at her
underling, and motionlessly she replied.

"I want nothing to happen to that boy Tenchi." Her follower sighed in
exasperation. He enjoyed it most when he could meddle in other people's
business, but he had to follow his Lady. "There is no need for us to get
involved. Almost certainly, Washu will bring them to us."

    "My lady, I understand perfectly."

* * *

"So Ryoko, are you sure that you can't remember anything about Lady
Tokimi?" Washu asked quite incredulously as she looked at the various
symbols on her computer monitor, and then she turned to look at Ryoko who
was unceremoniously tied up and wired up with many strange probes. Ryoko,
understandably angry, shook her head.

"No, mother! Get me out of this thing!" Washu sighed, as her
equipment indicated that some greater, yet unknown force was at work here.
And it was only a day ago that Mihoshi had returned from Galaxy Police with
the funniest news that Dr. Clay had completely forgotten about Lady Tokimi.

Washu paused for a moment lost in thought. 'Lady Tokimi, it is so
strange. Deep within my mind, I know that name, but for some reason I
can't remember. Lady Tokimi.' Washu stood quite still, transfixed by her
thoughts, and suddenly she felt some dam within her head give way slightly,
and knowledge flowed into her head.

At best, it wasn't a pleasant experience. Ryoko gasped as Washu held
her head in pain and collapsed on the floor. She shouted out. "Washu!
Washu!" At first she was truly worried, but then she began to have second
thoughts. "Someone get me out of this thing!"

Sasami groaned as she violently twisted and turned on the couch.
Unfortunately for her, she had been sick, and at Tenchi's urging, she had
been taking plenty of naps to conserve her strength. And right now, she
was having yet another nightmare, and one that was not pleasant at all. In
fact, it was down right terrible.

Sasami ran through the dark mist that had mysteriously enveloped her.
"Ryo-Ohki! Ayeka! Tenchi! Where is everyone?" she cried out as she
stumbled helplessly in the dark. For a few moments, Sasami twisted and
turned as her nightmare slowly progressed from scary to horrifying.

"Tenchi! Washu! Is anyone there?" she cried out. The only sounds
she could hear were her voice echoing back to her from multiple directions.
Suddenly, the mist suddenly cleared, and she found Tenchi slowly walking
to her. Suddenly joyous that she was no longer alone, Sasami started to
run towards Tenchi, but a giant hand broke out of thin air and snatched
Tenchi away. "No! Don't take Tenchi away!" screamed Sasami, who stumbled
and fell onto the dark floor.

A chilling voice responded. "It is my will, Tsunami, and there is no
way you can counter it." Sasami looked at the shiny floor below her, and
saw the reflection of Tsunami stare back at her. She slowly looked
upwards, and saw the tall nonmoving visage of Lady Tokimi staring back down
at her. The Lady smiled quite wickedly.

Suddenly the scene vanished, only to be replaced by another, one that
seemed somewhat different yet it was just like an instant replay of the
previous dream. Sasami cried out for help as she stumbled alone in the
dark. And just like before, the mist cleared away, and she was in dark
blackness. Suddenly a light flashed, and looking at the source, she was
suddenly horrified. There in front of her stood Tenchi, but it was not
Tenchi. His eyes were red with evil. His posture was quite horrifying.
He was dressed in black clothing, and he held his sword in his hand, quite
ready.

Sasami stood paralysed as Tenchi slowly approached her, and he swung
his sword.

"Yaah!" screamed Sasami who sat upright immediately. She found herself
back in the cozy and friendly environment of the Masaki household. On the
couch opposite hers, she found Tenchi asleep, obviously there because he
was concerned about her fever. And in the other available seat, Ayeka was
also sleeping. Somewhat shaken by the dream, she slowly got up, and walked
unsteadily towards Tenchi. She shook him awake.

"Tenchi. Tenchi." Tenchi yawned a little, and his eyes snapped open
in surprise. "Tenchi, I had a bad dream. Can you sit next to me please?"
Tenchi looked at Sasami with concern. She was obviously shaken, her hair
slightly messy, tears streaming from her eyes, and sweat trickling down her
face. He nodded, and as an extra measure, he held Sasami tightly for a
moment. Apparently, his gesture worked perfectly, and within minutes,
Sasami was back asleep.

For a moment, Tenchi sat motionless, his eyes not focused on anything
and slowly drifting to sleep, but he suddenly felt a certain feeling
overcome him. It was as if the hairs on the back of his neck suddenly were
standing up on end, warning him that something had happened. Drawn, as if
by some external force, Tenchi carefully lay Sasami onto the couch, and he
walked.

As if a little voice was warning him, Tenchi made his way to the
subdimensional door under the stairs, and he entered Washu's laboratory.

"Will someone get me out of this thing?" cried Ryoko, as she struggled
futilely against the bonds. But despite any effort, she couldn't break
free. Ryoko looked at Washu, who had fallen onto the floor, and couldn't
help but feel somewhat worried about her mother. For one thing, Washu was
probably the only person who could get her out of this mess right now.
"Washu! Mom! Washu-chan! Wake up! Are you alright?"

Despite all of Ryoko's efforts, she had not mitigated the situation at
all. Having lost all hope, she slumped forwards and stared at the floor in
defeat. Suddenly, she heard a voice that completely eliminated all of her
despair. "Ryoko! What happened?" Ryoko's head snapped upwards, just in
time to see Tenchi carefully picking his way through the complicated
equipment that Washu kept in her lab.

As Tenchi neared Ryoko, he finally saw Washu, who had been obstructed
by the complex equipment everywhere. "Washu-chan! Are you alright?"
Tenchi scared by the fact that there was no immediate response, stood
paralysed.

"Tenchi! Tenchi! Tenchi!" Ryoko called out to get Tenchi's
attention. Her voice immediately went from urgent to overly cute. "Do you
think you can get me out of this thing?" Ryoko gave Tenchi the puppy dog
look, but it wasn't necessary. Tenchi looked at the complicated array of
switches, and he selected one. The restraints that were holding Ryoko gave
way, and a joyous space pirate ran out of her confinement. The first thing
Ryoko did was to try to glomp onto Tenchi.

Normally, Tenchi would have been polite and asked Ryoko to stay off,
but this time there was a serious matter at hand, and Tenchi gently pushed
away Ryoko so he could pick up Washu. Envious, Ryoko followed Tenchi and
Washu out the door.

Slowly, they made their way out of the complicated maze otherwise known
as Washu's laboratory. Eventually, they reached the door which led to the
real world outside. Fortunately and unfortunately, both Ayeka and Sasami
were awake by the time Tenchi had returned. Sasami was the first to react.
 "What's wrong with Washu?"

A little bit later, Washu moaned as she felt her throbbing head. Her
head felt as if it were overflowing with pressure, ready to explode at any
given moment. Sitting up, carefully, she found the everyone looking at her
concerned. Even though she had her faults, Tenchi couldn't help but feel
sorry for Washu. He was first to speak. "Washu, are you ok?"

Both Ryoko and Ayeka mentally grumbled, as they expected Washu to take
advantage of Tenchi's sympathy. Instead, all they saw was a look of
concern on Washu's face as she looked at Tenchi. She shook her head, and
steadied herself as she stood up. "No, I'm fine. Just a little strain. I
think I've been working too hard." Everyone stood dumbfounded as Washu
slowly walked back to her lab.

"Oh my, is Washu alright?" Everyone groaned as they turned their heads
away from Mihoshi.

* * *

Washu sat on the edge of her seat, some what lost for words as she
focused in her thoughts. For a brief moment, the mystery of Lady Tokimi
had been banished from her mind. She sat there, quite mystified that the
Lady Tokimi would take such an interest in the lower dimensions, as there
were not many things that could engender the involvement of a major deity.
Then, another barrier in her mind fell, but this time Washu was able to
resist the onslaught of information. Still the shock on her mind was
tremendous indeed, and she reeled backwards.

'These revelations. Where are they coming from? Before I didn't know
Lady Tokimi, and now I am familiar with her. Before, I was mystified with
her involvement in this dimension, but now.' Washu stopped as her newly
found memory began to slowly disappear into the depths of her subconscious
again. 'There is only one way to resolve this.'

And not a moment too soon, Washu, wearing her uniform burst out the
subspace door to her lab, not surprising anyone else the slightest. Sasami
was preparing for dinner, as usual. Ayeka and Ryoko were bickering as
usual, while Mihoshi tried to break them up, while being a complete ditz.
Tenchi was probably out in the fields, working on the carrots of course.
Looking around, Washu's eyes landed on Ryo-Ohki. Picking up Ryo-Ohki, and
grabbing hold of Mihoshi, Washu walked out the door. "Come on Mihoshi, we
need to go to Galaxy Police."

Ryoko and Ayeka continued to bicker.

* * *

Later, both Washu and Mihoshi were in Ryo-Ohki speeding through space
onto the main facility of Galaxy Police. While Washu knew what she was
doing, Mihoshi on the other hand didn't. "Washu, I don't understand. Why
are you going to see Dr. Clay? I mean, I already told you he forgot
everything about Lady what's-her-name?" Mihoshi stood there for a moment,
as she tried to recall that name, but as usual she couldn't put her tongue
on it.

"Lady Tokomi." Washu looked at Mihoshi, just to wait for how long it
took for her to have her moment of realization. Well, for Mihoshi, it
never came, and Washu could only sigh. "I'm merely coming here to
determine whether my memory is developing discrepancies. I'm beginning to
have memories of events that I have never remember doing before."

* * *

Meanwhile, on a remote hidden planet hundreds of lightyears away from
Earth, a cataclysmic explosion shattered the remnants of the outer crust of
the planet into outer space, leaving behind a glowing ball of molten rock.
A greenish sheen followed the trail of splintered rock into space. An old
evil had been reborn.

The shattered rock decelerated from their outward trajectory, and slowly
started to clump together. Slowly, the accumulated rock grew in size and
mass. Eventually, there was no trace of debris, the entire mass of rock
having been collected into a giant space vessel of some sort. Within the
giant vessel, a vengeful, hateful spirit dwelled, having no thought on his
mind other than vengeance.

* * *

Mihoshi looked pensively at her Chief, who was rather perplexed with
her sudden reappearance at Galaxy Police Headquarters with a twelve year
old girl. He shifted forwards in his chair. "I'm sorry, Detective
Mihoshi. You can not bring in your guest to see Dr. Clay. He is a Class
III criminal. You know the standard operating procedures."

Mihoshi's eyes began to water up, as she begged for reconsideration.
"But, Chief! It is important that Washu gets to see Dr. Clay!" Unable to
think of a better reason to motivate the Chief, Mihoshi get him a pleading
look, a look worthy of a starving child, of a needy beggar. The Chief
shifted uncomfortably in his chair.

"No, you know that I can't break rules. There is no way that I can
allow you to visit Dr. Clay." Mihoshi looked as if she were on verge of
tears. Washu looked as if she were ready to grind her teeth into dust.
But desperation is often a very good thing, as Mihoshi suddenly got an
inspiration.

"What if I went and asked my Grandfather instead, then could I go see
Dr. Clay." At the mention of her grandfather, who also happened to be the
commissioner of Galaxy Police, the Chief paled, and started to look around
nervously.

"Well, actually," the chief laughed nervously and rather excessively.
"I change my mind. Here, have the access card." Within minutes, Mihoshi
and Washu managed to get past the guards, and entered the high security
detention cells, where Class III criminals were kept in virtual isolation.

* * *

Dr. Clay barely stirred, as he yet again saw his lifelong nemesis, the
impossible Washu, stand in front of the force field which confined him to
his tiny cell. Prideful and angry, he turned his head away, as if revolted
by the sight of her. "Washu, you didn't come here to mock me did you? You
were lucky! You were lucky! If that damned Ryo-Ohki weren't..."

Washu cut him off. "Well, it seems that you didn't take Ryo-Ohki into
account when you escaped. But I didn't come here to mock you. I want to
ask you about Lady Tokomi. Do you remember anything at all about her?"
Washu watched Dr. Clay as he immediately acted as a cat that had just
caught the king of mice.

"Well, now that you mention it, Washu. I might be able to tell you, but
only if you are willing to do something in return." Dr. Clay flashed Washu
an all knowing smile, and cryptically arched his eyebrow. Washu looked at
him for a moment, and turned away. Had the circumstances had been
different, Washu would have jumped on the opportunity to mock Dr. Clay and
his weird tastes in women, but this was a serious matter.

"Well it seems, that you can't be of help to me. I'm going to go. I
guess you should enjoy your life imprisionment in here." Washu walked off.

"Washu! Washu! Wait!" Obviously, the prospects of staying within the
same 10x 5 foot cell for the next 10,000 years didn't seem that enchanting
with Dr. Clay. "I'll tell you what I know." Dr. Clay groveled, for he
truly didn't have any power in his current position. "I'll tell you. I
don't know who the hell is Lady Tokomi. But I'm quite voucher that your
pet guinea pig will arouse certain interests, if you know what I mean."
Dr. Clay had a wicked smile on his face.

Washu stared at Dr. Clay neutrally for a moment. "Well, thanks for
your useless information, Dr. Clay. I fancy the next 10,000 years will be
quite interesting." Washu briskly walked out of the prison as the sounds
of individual facing a lifetime of routine screamed.

* * *

Mihoshi looked at Washu, as Washu emotionlessly directed Ryo-Ohki back
to Earth. "So what did Dr. Clay say? And why did he scream like that?"
Washu didn't respond, she was merely silent as she thought about the
future, shrouded in mystery. And yet, despite the seemingly random nature
of fate, she seemed to have hunches what were about to happen.

"Nothing Mihoshi, he's just crazy about staying in that cell for about
10,000 years."
Washu allowed herself to smile as she looked at Mihoshi. She turned back
to navigating Ryo-Ohki. But unknown, even to Washu, there were being
silently followed.

"Oh yes, oh yes. Washu, revenge has never been sweeter." A tall
figure stood as he looked at a holographic image of Ryo-Ohki projected in
front of him. He stood there for a moment, as he savored his final blow
over Washu. The man stood there as if possessed by some evil deity. He
stood still as he prepared to strike a killing blow at Ryo-Ohki when
another thought crossed his mind. He really didn't have a grudge against
Washu. He had a grudge against that damned Tenchi Masaki.

Kagato felt his grotesque scar ache with pain as he thought about
Tenchi, the boy who had sent him to the gates of Hell and back. Kagato
clenched his gem studded fist, and let out a mighty laugh, as his body
started to glow with an intensely green color. "We shall see who will win
this time!" Kagato looked at Ryo-Ohki, and he smirked. He decided to
follow her.

"I must implore, my Lady. We must investigate this boy. He can prove
to be a threat to our plans." Lady Tokomi stood still, as she thought of
the possibilities. Strangely, she looked at Washu, who was acting
compassionately. Washu had a wide range of emotions, and she too seemed to
be interested in that boy named Tenchi.

"That's strange. This is not the Washu I remember." Lady Tokomi stared
at the red-haired girl who had suddenly seemed to be a completely different
character. Lady Tokomi stood still, lost in thought.

"What about Lady Washu is different?"

"Everything. She is not the person I used to know." Lady Tokomi
continued. "The Washu I knew was calculating. For her, the sole purpose
of her existence was to complete her goals. Nothing could stand in her
way. But know, I don't know about that." The man motionlessly looked at
Lady Tokomi.

"What about Lady Tsunami?" Lady Tokomi grimaced.

"She's the same as ever. Do recall that I sent Washu to check on
Tsunami." Lady Tokomi thought back to the events that occurred over 20,000
years ago. Lady Tokomi had always been in command, as she had been the
first and the eldest. For countless eons, she and her sisters freely
traveled through dimensions with no other goal than to assimilate knowledge
from the lesser races.

Then, finally, a fateful day so long ago, that even Lady Tokomi
couldn't remember, Tsunami vanished completely without a trace, in some
hidden dimension among the countless that existed. In vain, Tokomi sent
Washu out to search out Tsunami and return with her. Washu never returned.
For millennia upon millennia, she solely wander the universe, her
followers following her also in the search for her sisters.

    She had finally found them.
