"Why does Ranma have a sexual reaction whenever he sees Ranko's body?"

I have been dogged by this particular question for over a year, now.  I'm
opening this to public debate because I want to test the feasibility of my
argument.  Anyway, sample C&C on the subject follows: (originator's identity
concealed since I didn't get permission to repost this)

Interesting.  I think a lot of the trouble people have is because this
is a story that walks the line between lemon and normal.  People might 
not get as nervous with Ranma and Ranko's attraction to each other if
they were sure you weren't going to do anything about it.  But there's
a palpable sexual tension running through the whole story (look at Kasumi
and Nabiki in the bath (and Nabiki and Akane...oops, that's not released
yet.  Eee!)).

Personally, I agree that Ranma would react to Ranko, but more because of
Ranko's attitude towards him than anything else.  He doesn't have to 
worry as much about the threat of death with Ranko, as he did with all
the others in the original timeline (with Shampoo, he had to worry about
*others* killing him).  Ranko is far too comfortable with Ranma, and it's
this comfort and affection, rather than the nudity per se, that's making
him nervous.

Let's face it, Todd, we're a little tense about whether this series can
continue to walk the line between lemon and lime.  You *are* the author
of The Prince and the Lecher, after all... (and speaking of which, how's
the ending coming?)
