universe actually exists, and is 'real' to itself?
        I developed a similar belief after I watched _The Never-Ending
Story_ . . . and some of the ideas I've been knocking around in a corner
of my mind are distantly descended from that. ;)

I personally share Hitomi's belief. Besically it means that in some
sunny reality the O.J. Simpson trial is just the creation of someone's
imagination. And did anyone ever think how contrived the names in the
Bobbit case sounded?

Of course, this raises a problem. It means since all these crossover
universes actually existm that such things are actually possible, which
means that it is literally possible-however unlikely-to get revenged.
Not that it would stop me, of course.
