Well hell, I log on after 4 days to find a mess of comments about C&C and
I feel a little stupid as I was planning on doing this anyway....
Oh well...
As I said I've been away for a couple of days and I've read (and re-read
a couple of things which I'll mention here....
Some of them are pretty old...well, sort of old ....
You may notice a bit of a bubblegummy thread in these....don't blame me...
Also, these are more like opinions that anything else....anyone who did
not read these may surely be befuddled.....
Again, I never read all that I wanted....I'm also reading Alberto
Manguel's "A History of Reading." so I'm a little distracted.
I was doing all sorts of loopy ski-doo things this weekend so I didn't
read much.
Bubblegum Zone....I finished re-reading it...I enjoy the transformitive
process which occurs with both the characters and the writer as the story
progresses....for some reason part 4 laggs a bit for me however...no
reason why...just seems that way to me...I DON'T want to see Bert and Nene
get back together....I feel that would reduce what the characters
acomplish somehow....I DO want to see Silvie with Leon..even if it's a
quickie...I have no idea why but it would be interesting to see Leon
falling for somebody -or- having Silvie fall for him and attempting to
"tune-down" her synthetic "lures". I don't want Nene to ever come in
contact with "Melvin" on "the internet".
Bublegum Burst.....I've got chapter 1....it's not enough....I WANT
MORE!!!!
Bub-Collision and Collapse....I wanted Nene to lash out a bit more...she
seethed alright but somehow she just didn't lose control. I found some of
the narration tended to lose it's strenght as the authors notes just
preceeding just sort-of seeped into it... I liked
the Sylia as mother stuff -however I expected something diferent there as
well....somehow I saw her in the Batman/Bane situation forced to live her
life in a hardsuit if she wanted that mobility....alas it didn't happen. I
did like the "Tour of Duty" end.
BGCross 14 and 15....
As always I like this...
I really don't like that old man even if he's just a boomer.
I like the rain and the tears.
If I was nasty I'd advise therapy for Priss.
BGC Yearnings.... Sylia as mom again...I REALLY feel sorry for Leon...

I love the part about Linna....
Ranma of the Mounties.....An older fic which strangely throws Ranma in the
role of Dudley Do-Right. This ones got more spelling mistakes than even I
usually make but I still find it enjoyable.... not for people who bail at
the first sign of typos. I liked it.
Lesson in Love: side story...
I liked it for it spoke to the fromage filled parts of my soul.
Actually, since I was visiting my parents and I keep these little
time-bombs around to keep me on my toes it made me go and read 2 letters
written to me by my first great love (note how I've painfully avoided
putting that in capitals....) the first letter she wrote on our first
Valenties day together... the other letter just after (1 day) we had
broken up....elapsed time 3 years.
I think that the only critisim I would make would be...more awkward
fumbling....
El-Hazard :Moments....
I liked both sections a good deal and enjoyed the progressive commintary
which surrounds them.
Eleventh Night: A tale of El-Hazard.
Un....I liked it , it was compitent and an all right read but to be
honest I'll take Serena and Luna or Come to My Window over this....Maybe I
just need more to read :)

I liked it but want to see more....this afterlife sawapping business has
me a wee bit confused. Also distracting is the name swapping but I
realize it's a work in progress and I could name the characters anything
if I wanted to search and replace them....I'm not sure which names I like
by the way....I Have a weaknes for Chris Davies combo mix but also like
Naru as a name...oh well got to see if evrybody gets wasted....I was
actually a little shocked about the librarian....but then again it really
showed this was Evil with a capital E.
Sailor Moon Anniversery 1-5
2.5 was kinky...I liked it... :)
I've gotta approve of a lemon that will make me tear up because ....I
won't say parts are depressing....they just are....oh to hell with
it....they ARE depressing....that combination of light and dark is what
makes this work.
Well that's what I read and how I felt about them....I disagree with those
who dump fics for spelling....but then I have many years of dyslexia under
my belt...
