To all who read these presents, Greetings!
Life hands you all sorts of surprises.
Actually that's true....these little grey guys just handed me this
neato-wrapped up present....
Hmmmm, It's ticking...
Wowswers... how lucky... a clock...I'll take it home before I open it and
show it to my roommates...
Wonderful things lurk around
corners, just waiting to jump out in front of you.
Yup... about 3 km high and from a city where he says he lies dead but
dreaming
If you're lucky,
you'll see these things for what they are and grab hold of them before
they slip away.
Actually slither in this case.... :)
<cue trumpet fanfare>
(The actual important message deleted)
It is my happy pleasure to announce that we shall be married!
(Well, okay....this IS PRETTY important)

Actually this is my twisted way to eventually meandering around to
offering you both congratulations...
I'm a lazy slug so I'll wait till you get frustrated and tell us all who
it is... :)
I wish you both the very best and hope that can look to your beloved and
tell them:
"The sun rises in your eyes."
Which of course is corney alnd all that....but I liked it when I first
read it in the Fionavar Tapestry and now it means even more as it was part
of the vows of two good friends of mine....
Neil...
As Robyn however.....
Walking down the dimly lit stareway which leads to, among other things
the Pattern and of course the Royal Prison, I come upon a door marked with
a silver metal star hammered into the wood.
The door is unlocked but stiff to open. The lamp flickers as a breeze
whispers by. The flagstones under my feet give way to fine white sand.
This door leads to one of the countless sea-caves which twist through the
mountain on which the castle rests like bore-holes in a rotted stump.
I've been told they can be treacherous and they are. Once when younger I
played in these tunnels with my cousins and became disoriented and then
lost. After wandering for days...all hope of rescue gone I had ended up
-somewhere else- for it seems that the stories about the caves leading
into Shadow were true. Anyway, I know my way around now...as long as I
actually know where I'm going. Finding a certain mark scratched into the
jagged rock which has replaced the smooth cut stone I know
I'mm moving in the right direction...
Up ahead a junction. I take the left fork. I've often wondered what's
down the right passage but I get the feeling somehow it's something nasty.
Now a right passage, now down the middle one. The passages comes to a dead
end. Placing my palm upon the stone my hand seems to sing inward as into
clay or a sponge. My crystal ring flaress from within and this place
"unlocks" .
Now there is open passageway and from it stairs going upward. Taking the
stairs I find myself in a small tower room literally worlds away from
where I started.
I find the appropritate things in there places and make them ready.
It's night here and the sky is filled with a firework of strange
multi-hued constalations.
I gather the things I have arranged and draw one closer.
I raise my glass to you although both of you are both a million years an
worlds away and will never see it hopefully only seeing each other.
CHEERS

I met a Lady in the Meads,
Full beautiful, a faery's child,
Her hair was long, her foot was light
And her eyes were wild.
