Well, I just finished reading Poison again, and I read 'Truth' earlier
today, and I just got five Ranma manga as a birthday gift, and I read the
Nodoka storyline. I'm in a funky mood, so let's see where this takes us.
As always, the more you C&C, the better I get!
I wanted freedom.
Freedom from Ranko.
The choice to be
The man I was before.
The man he denied I was.
The water burns as it hits,
And the change is so sudden.
I gaze into eyes that held
Love a moment before,
And see only revulsion.
That look scares me.
Or at least it starts to.
Until I realize
No matter what,
There is no other way.
I kneel before her.
My source of life and death.
My neck is bared
Due to a promise made.
A vow I intend to keep.
The blade slices the air,
And as it enters my neck,
My last words echo through the yard
The seven I could not say before.
I love you, Akane.
Forgive me, Mother.
Obviously, this is a Ranma tells his mother about his curse story. Again,
obviously, it did not go as planned. This is particularly close to me, as I
went through something similar in my life. Love is a very strange thing. I
understand wanting to have everything work out, but sometimes our loved ones
do things to hurt us out of love. Nodoka may very well love Ranma more then
life itself. That does not mean that she would let him out of his promise.
It is entirely possible that her _love_ would force her to _make_ Ranma kill
himself. It could be that she is percieving Ranma as making a mistake and
killing him the only way to set it right. I don't know. All I know is that
no one has ever looked at it like this. Again, please C&C. I like to know
what other people think of my works.
