Dark brown voice?
... the phrase in question
comes unchanged from the original song "Lola".
I had always thought that it was "backroom voice"...
Nope, it really is "dark brown."
But then, I always heard the end as
"I know who I am and, in bed, I'm a man and so is Lola"
as opposed to the real (much more ambiguous)
"I know who I am, and I'm glad I'm a man, and so is Lola"
(ie. Lola is really glad that the speaker is a man also)
But then, I always thought that "Lazy Old Sun" was a much better song
anyhow
That's an "apples vs. oranges" comparison if you ask me. :-)
No.."apples and oranges" is Pink Floyd.
You know..it's a fair comparison, tunes vs. tunes. Lola is a nice, pop
hit, while Lazy Old Sun is one of those slow, meandering, timeless beauty
things that isn't in any key at all. (I firmly believe that it's
literally tuneless..)
