Thank you all for the responses to my idea of a BGC/Forever Knight xover.
As I don't see much chance of finding the time to work on a BGC/FK fanfic(*),
I heartily encourage anyone who would like to write one to go ahead.

One thing I found particularly amusing about this xover idea is that
someone can
be a bloodsucker with superhuman strength, virtually immune to normal
weapons,
able to fly and to hypnotize others, and not be a vampire.

I have a question and an idea for BGC. How is it that GENOM, given their
resources,
does not know who the Knight Sabers are? I've thought of several
possibilities:

   1) In some way, the Knight Sabers are able to keep themselves from being
traced
by GENOM. (I find this one unlikely because of the frequent public
appearances
      by the Knight Sabers.)

   2) GENOM doesn't care, since the Knight Sabers aren't doing that much
damage to
GENOM itself, and GENOM appreciates the beta-testing of boomers.

   3) GENOM does know and doesn't care for same reasons as in (2).

   4) GENOM doesn't know because someone inside GENOM like Mason has
screwed up
the investigation sufficiently to keep the company away from the Knight
      Sabers.

   5) Someone outside GENOM is running interference for the Knight Sabers and
      protecting their identities.

The last one intrigues me because it fits with an idea I've had for an
insertion
fic. Among the differences from the standard BGC insertion fic (is there
such a
thing as a standard?) would be that I would appear as a character at the age I
will be in 2034, i.e. an old man. Of course, this means that the only physical
affection I would receive would be along the lines of a friendly kiss on the
cheek (probably from Nene, such an affectionate child). Them's the breaks in
  the fanfic business.

                                                               TTFN,
                                                               dml

(*) To be sung to the tune of "Back In the Saddle Again":

       Back in grad school again,
back where the work never end...
