I *still* don't get this.  Why would you want to discard the
highly probable in favour of the improbable?  What is the
relevance of this paraphrase to Nouma's argument for considering
magic?

And I *still* don't see your problem with this.

     I think some people just don't understand the process of eliminating
the probable. They think you just shove it aside (like Mulder on X-files),
rather than trying to explain it as Scully does (with more probable ideas).
Unfortunately, since Mulder is often right, that means during their
investigation, you have to prove the "highly probable" is not correct.
