Hello everyone,
Here is a long awaited Part 3 to my series "Reconstruction"
I have changed it to Sailor Moon Alpha. (Sounds Better)
It is the same story, just different title.
If you want to read part 1&2, go to my page at:
http://www3.edgenet.net/maray/fanfics.htm

C&C is welcome, I would like to know what people think. There might be
a little bit of errors here and there. I think if someone has not read
the precious parts can catch on quick because nothing major has happened
yet.
I will be sending revised copies of the first two parts next week and
part 4 the next week. (Hopefully)
Well, enjoy

Sailor Moon Alpha

Part 3: "The Sailor Senshi of the North Star"
By Mike Ray

Usagi wakes up to find her room and the house empty. She spotted Luna
sleeping peacefully on her books and Artimus sleeping on a nearby
shelf. Yawning, she goes into the kitchen to make some toast when she
happened to look at the clock. She dropped the toast that she now had
in her hands and ran to her room to dress and get ready for school. She
yanked the books out from under Luna, scaring her half to death.
"I'm late Luna!" Usagi yelled at her cat. "Why didn't you wake me up?"
"Well," Luna started as she rubbed her hurting head. "We all woke you
up about five times, but you just fell back to sleep. Everybody left
and I continued to try and wake you. I stopped after the ninth time."
Usagi hurried just to get inside the school gates just as they were
about to close. She was reprimanded as usual and made it to class right
on time as usual. The rest of the day passed as if it were any other
day, but better than usual because there were no pop-quizzes or tests
which gave Usagi ample time to catch naps in between classes.
Meanwhile, Rameck sat watching all the days' events from the limb of a
tree at the front of the school. She looked over Usagi and could not
figure how she could be Sailor Moon: the one that bested Queen Beryl.
But then again, he thought it was an all so clever ruse to make sure
people would never link a clumsy, late girl like her to the fighter of
justice. Suddenly he heard Obsidians voice as he tried to contact
Rameck.
"Are the sailor scouts giving you any trouble?" Obsidian asked in a
stern, dark voice.
"No Obsidian," Rameck answered as if to be rewarded for his efforts.
"They seem totally oblivious to our plan, but one of their talking cats
knew a little too much about the staffs. Some things not even you told
me about, like there were two more just as powerful."
"Is that so... ," Obsidian paused. "Knowledge about the staffs is not
a problem, just as long as it can not be used against us to stall our
plans... I have called on you for a reason Rameck. Tokyo happens to
have a very strong contributing source of power towards Europa. I need
you to find out what this power is. I want it and I will accept no
failure. Am I understood?"
"Yes Obsidian," Rameck answered. " I will get on it immediately, but I
have to finish something first, if you may let me."
"Yes Rameck. Just do not take too long. You know my patience has
grown short of late and I know you don't want to end up like your friend
Jarosite." Which that, the voice dissipated and left an image in
Rameck's mind. The vision of his compatriot Jarosite dying at the hands
of Obsidian. The death of Jarosite showed how impatient Obsidian can
get and what he can do if he is not satisfied. The thing that angered
Rameck was that Jarosite was his brother, whom was yet a brother to the
Dark Kingdom general named Nephrite. Both Jarosite and Nephrite were
put against their will to travel the road of allegiance with the Dark
Kingdom and adopted their names as they were brainwashed of their links
to the Moon Kingdom. While Rameck, whom was never involved in
political affairs, distanced himself from both kingdoms and went his own
direction with very little, if no, ties with the Dark Kingdom.
Rameck remembered the day he heard of the fall of Queen Beryl and the
Dark Kingdom. He was with Obsidian at the time. Obsidian had a shroud
of mystery all his own as he served high ranking positions in both
kingdoms, but was also exiled from both for reasons unknown to Rameck.
Obsidian immediately swiped up the remnants of the kingdom to build his
own army.
Rameck was Obsidians right hand man, and still is. That is why
Obsidian had been so lenient with him, moreso over the rest whom were
still fidgety about the fall of Queen Beryl. He offered a new kingdom
that will surpass that of her rule and the ones before. For that
reason, they settled on Europa and are now on Earth.
As the voice echoed in his head, a small satchel appeared in front of
him. Rameck grabbed the bag and heard another voice, Jadeite's voice.
"I was saving these for the right time. It seems now is a better time
than ever. These spheres are spirit seeds. You can release their force
by breaking them. I know you had never practiced to use the dark force,
but with these, you will not need magic. They are hostile and will kill
anything they see. Just don't stand too close when you break them, if
you get my point. I would have used these to get rid of the sailor
scouts before, but I never had a chance to use them," With that, Rameck
attached the satchel to his belt. "Use them wisely, we only have four,"
and Jadeites voice dissipated.
After the barrage of orders were given, Rameck stood up on the limb
where he sat and touched a couple of buttons on his wrist and
disappeared.

Meanwhile, the day was passing without incident for Erythrite whom was
searching for the Headpiece of Alnilam. The reason that she had not
found it immediately was because the locator she had was very crude and
only told the general area of the headpiece. It had been used ages
beforehand to find it if it ever were lost, so the technology was a
little primitive. It was like looking for water with a dowsing rod.
The headpiece would give away its location every now and then with
random bursts of its tell-tale resonance that it emitted. A very unique
signal that the locator was specially designed for, but as Erythrite
looked throughout the day, the headpiece did not help as it did not give
a resonance burst. As though it knew Erythrite were looking for it.
Just as Erythrite was about to give in for the day and continue
tomorrow, the locator beeped and gave away the precise location of the
headpiece. As soon as she received the coordinates, she disappeared in
pursuit of the headpiece Obsidian so dearly wanted.
At about the same time, school had just been let out and all the team
met at the front of the school where Artimus and Makoto were waiting
patiently. They all agreed the immediate danger had passed and they
should go their own ways. They also agreed that staying together all
the time could not possibly be good for they would let fear overcome
them and that was not the way of a sailor scout. The Moon kingdom did
not become great from fearing everybody they met to the point of being
under house arrest.
Usagi walked home with Ami to help her with yet another math tutoring
lesson. Minako started home with Artemis, and Rei walked to her
grandpa's temple with Mako, whom was going to help with some cleaning.
A little while later, Rei had just arrived at the temple with Makoto
when she felt a sudden feeling of danger; as if a friend was being
hurt. She stopped while Mako did not notice her and continued. After a
couple of yards, she looked to her side to talk to Rei, but she wasn't
there. She looked a little ways behind to see Rei crouched down and
grabbing her head. Mako quickly came to her side and asked what was
wrong.
"We need to get to Minako-chan," she said as she looked up at Lita.
"Her and Artemis are in great danger. We need to hurry." With that
they both started toward Mina's house.
A little time before this happened, Artimus and Mina were on there way
home. To excite the journey, Artemis humored Mina with that mornings
happenings when Usagi finally woke up. She arrived to the front of her
house to see her front door ripped off its hinges and lying in the
middle of the street. She then immediately ran to the front door when
Artemis jumped in front of her to stop her.
	"What the...?" Mina said shocked
"Stay here," Artimus advised. "Warn the others we might have some
trouble, transform and meet me inside. I am going to see who our
uninvited guest is."
"And how are you going to do that, Mr. Superhero?" Mina said
sarcastically.
"Don't worry," Artimus reassured Mina. "You are forgetting I am a
cat. I can sneak in there without anybody seeing me."
"OK! Just don't do anything stupid." Mina said as she saw Artemis
creep inside the house. Mina went behind some bushes to use her
communicator and tell the others of her current situation. For some
reason, she could not contact Rei of Mako. She then transformed into
Sailor Venus. "If your powers meant anything Rei," Mina said to
herself. "I hope you know I need help right now." Venus walked toward
the door and crept in the direction she saw Artimus go.
Meanwhile, Artimus was making his way into the house which was a
shambles with broken vases and family memorabilia scattered all around.
Artimus made his way to the family room where he heard things being
thrown and glasses breaking. He peered inside to see a black haired
woman in the all-too-familiar Dark Kingdom uniform with white trim. She
was rummaging through the family room as if she were looking for
something.
"Oh great," Atrimus commented to himself. "Now we have someone else to
worry about." After that, Artimus thought he would get a closer look as
he strolled into the room, hoping the woman would just pass him off as a
normal cat and ignore him. Just as he took a couple of steps into the
room, Erythrite grabbed a table ornament and rose it over her head as if
she had finally found what she was looking for. Artimus saw this and
made his way toward Erythrite to see if he could stall Erythrite enough
so that the rest of the team would have enough time to arrive.
Erythrite had finally found what she had been looking for. She looked
at the ornament victoriously and with hopes of praise from Obsidian whom
had underestimated her ability ever since they met. Her thoughts were
interrupted as she felt something rubbing against her legs. She looked
down to see a white cat purring and rubbing her legs.
"And who might you be kitty," Erythrite said in a comforting tone then
she noticed the crescent moon an his head and knew immediately who he
was in league with. "Sorry cat, but your friends will not be able to
stop us. Now that I have this." Erythrite angrily said to Artimus as
she kicked him away. Artimus hit a nearby wall and was knocked
unconscious. Just at that time, Sailor Venus came through the door.
"I told you not to do anything stupid," Venus said to the unconscious
Artimus then she centered her attention on the black haired woman
standing in the middle of the room.
"I think it is about the time I should be leaving," Erythrite said
arrogantly. "I will have to take a rain check on this fight." She
turned toward a window that led to the outside, raised her hand. Her
hand started to glow red and suddenly a bolt of that red energy came
from her hand and carved a hole in the wall and disintegrating it. As
she was about to leave with headpiece in hand, Venus yelled her Crescent
Beam attack and it passed just inches in front of Erythrites face
"I really didn't want to kill anybody today, but you and your cat are
starting to annoy me," Erythrite said as she turned around toward Venus
whom was taking a stance as to give her another beam if needs be. She
was hoping the team heard her communications and came quickly. "Why not
play with this," Erythrite said as she rose here palm toward Venus and
yelled, "Toralos!" As soon as those words left her mouth, a bolt of red
energy originated from her palm. The energy traveled about a yard
forward, then split into many smaller bolts, that traveled on different
trajectories. Venus tried to escape the larger bolt, but it had broken
into many sporadically traveling bolts that made it nearly impossible to
avoid all of them. She dodged a few when she was finally hit by a
smaller red energy that threw her back toward a wall behind her,
knocking her out.
"That was definitely an anti-climax," Erythrite said as she made her
way out the hole in the wall. After a couple of feet away, a red rose
came from above her, cutting the arm in which she was carrying the
headpiece. She looked above to see a man in a tuxedo that came down and
landed in front of her.
"You should pick on someone your own size," Tuxedo Kamen commented.
"Shut up pretty boy," Erythrite answered. "I was going to let here
live, but she got a little too cocky and threw the first punch, so to
speak. I have heard all about you Tuxedo Kamen," as she said that, she
paused and a shocked expression flooded Tuxedo Kamens' face. "You
didn't think I knew about you. Master Jadeite has told me everything
about you. Unless you plan on joining your friends on that wall over
there, I advise you go on your merry way and forget that we ever met."
"That will be the last thing I will do," Tuxedo Kamen said as he
prepared his staff for battle. "If I have to fight you, that is what I
will do, but I will not let you leave after what you did." As he said
that, Erythrite looked above him and saw Rameck land behind him.
"I think it's a little too late for that," Eythrite said as Kamen
looked behind him and saw a fist on a collision course towards his
face. Luckily he dodged it and ran to the side to put some distance
between his two adversaries. "I leave you two to play for a while,"
Erythrite said as she floated off the ground and disappeared. "It's
about time you came," Erythrite's voice said to Rameck in a disappointed
tone.
"Yes, Tuxedo Kamen," Rameck said catching his attention and walking
toward him. "Let us play for a while. Jadeite wants you dead and I
just want to see if you are as good, or as bad, as he says." After
saying that, Rameck held his arm out to the side and closed his hand to
make a fist. As his hand closed, a long saber appeared in it. Rameck
grasped the saber that had a very elaborate handle and seemed to have a
very weird black glow to it, as if swallowing the light around itself.
"My Shadow Sword is very efficient in getting rid of the unwanted. Take
a good look at the weapon that will kill you."
"I have no intentions of dying today," Tuxedo Kamen replied.
"Sorry, It seems we have conflicting intentions," Rameck said as he
took a battle stance and dove toward Kamen. "Let us see who's
intentions true."
With that, a fight had broken out as Kamen blocked the attack with his
staff. This continued for a while with Rameck constantly attacking and
Kamen dodging and evading the sword swings. The fight did not go
without him answering with his own attacks, but all proved futile when
all were blocked by Rameck's mastery with his mysterious sword.
"You are pretty good with a cane... old man," Rameck commented as he
jumped back and commented. "But playtime is over. Now you will witness
the true power of my Shadow Sword." Rameck held his saber in front of
him and called out, "Shadow Sword, I pledge my life to you. Let my
enemy feel the power you possess. Shadow Strike!" He said as the sword
started to tremble in his hands and electrify. Rameck then dove toward
Kamen one last time. He blocked, but there was something different when
he blocked it this time. The sword sliced his staff in two and knocked
Tuxedo Kamen to the ground. Rameck then placed the sword at his
throat. "That was only the weakest of this swords powers. The
legendary Shadow Sword made my the shadow smiths of the Dark Kingdom. A
fitting end to anybody who dare cross the Dark Kingdom and cause so much
trouble." As the sword stayed at Tuxedo Kamens throat, it gradually
drained his power to the point where Kamen had to fight to keep his eyes
open
"Now we finish it," Rameck commented with his emerald green hair
blowing in the breeze. "Your a good fighter, it is a pity I have to
kill you."
"I am sure the tables would be turned if he had an enchanted sword," a
voice came from behind him. "You have beaten him, what else do you have
to prove?"
Rameck stepped away from Kamen and turned around to see a silhouette of
a man standing on a nearby rooftop. The sun was setting and was
directly behind the man, which made it very hard for Rameck to see any
detail. "For a man who can say such big words about my fighting,"
Rameck yelled to the stranger. "Your funeral will not be far behind
this one."
At that point, Sailor Jupiter and Mars arrived on the seen and hid
behind a wall of bushes to see an argument between a man with green hair
holding a sword and a brown haired man dressed in street cloths standing
on a rooftop. They saw Tuxedo Kamen laying on the ground and expected
the worst. Sailor Jupiter rose up from their vantage point to meet
Kamen, but Mars stopped her saying they would probably be in the same
position if they would barge in now. They decided just to stay hidden
and see what the events would show. They could not make out words, but
they could tell the green haired man was angry by the way he was
swinging his sword around.

"Come down here and fight if you think you can beat me," Rameck said
angrily to the man on the rooftop.
"I will, but let that man go first," the shadow said from the rooftop.
"We fight now, you coward," Rameck said as he threw his sword towards
the man on the roof. The man dodged the sword, then jumped forward and
over the sword as it returned from behind him. "Only one person can
predict my shadow sword," Rameck said as he caught the returning sword.
The man was on the ground and in a place he could be seen. Rameck
looked and stepped back with a gasp. "How can you be alive? I killed
you with my robots. I saw you die Serall."
"What you saw was a rockslide your robots helped to make," Serall said
as he walked closer to Rameck. He walked back in equal strides to keep
an ample distance away. "It takes more that a bunch of rocks to kill
me. I think you should give up while you are still ahead." Soon after,
he raised his hand up to show a sky-blue crystal embedded in the back of
his hand. "Polaris Star Power," he yelled as the crystal started to
glow brighter and engulf his body in the same blue light.
At this point, the Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury appeared to witness
the intense light. They did not see anything, but they knew that
something evil had to be behind it.
The light diminished and drew bask into the crystal to reveal the man
in blue plated armor. Complete with an elaborate helmet to protect his
head, as well as mask his identity. The sight piece of the helmet was a
sort of T shape leading down the helmet. He wielded a lustrous sword
that's length was almost twice his height.
"I think I should be going," Rameck said under his voice then raised it
for the man in front of him to hear. "I will be back Polaris. You have
taken me by surprise today, but next time we meet, I will not be so
lenient on letting you live. The same goes for Tuxedo Kamen as well and
any others who wish to defy me. Besides, it's getting a little too
crowded around here." Rameck said that as Polaris brought back his
sword and swung it toward Rameck, but before the sword could meet
Rameck, he disappeared.
Polaris looked around and saw the four Senshi looking at him like some
sort of alien. Mercury and Moon took a battle stance, thinking Polaris
was just another minion of evil. Jupiter hurried inside Mina's house to
check on her and Artimus.
"Don't attack him," a voice said from behind Polaris, it was Tuxedo
Kamen. "He is a friend." Tuxedo Kamen stressed every word as he had
little strength; strength that the shadow sword sucked out of him. He
then fainted as Moon ran over to help him.
"Who are you?" Mercury asked Polaris as she made her way closer to
him.
Polaris quickly turned away as though to hide himself, then started to
talk. "This is not the time for formalities, but if you must know, I am
Sailor Polaris, my real name is Serall Masaki. I give you my true
identity to alleviate any questions she might have." He said as he
pointed towards Mars as if he could sense her telepathic powers.
"But you are a man," Ami commented. "I thought women were the only
ones who could be sailor scouts."
"Maybe in the Moon Kingdom it was that way," Polaris said as he turned
around to face Mercury again to see that Venus had joined her. Venus
woke up when Jupiter had waken her and retrieved Artimus whom was now
sleeping. "But I am not from the Moon Kingdom. That is all I will say
now, but I advise you not to let your guard down like you did today.
Rameck is a very ruthless person when he wants to. Do not underestimate
any of these enemies powers, they may not seem strong at first, but only
when it is necessary is when they strike. I am afraid I have angered
Rameck to the point where he will do everything in his power to
accomplish his goals. His leader is Obsidian, do not forget him, he is
very powerful and now he will join one of the Staffs of Orion with that
ornament Erythrite escaped with. I will try and stop him, but it will
not be easy, I will have to ask for your help."
"We will do whatever we can," Moon answered. "But even Kamen was
outmatched, how can we defeat someone that powerful?"
"Did you see what happened today? All of you split up and that was
where you went wrong. Your strength is in numbers... This is not a
very good place to talk about anything else. We will meet again soon."
Polaris said as he disappeared like he teleported as many of the dark
minions they have met. This raised a lot of questions to Mars, whom
still looked very puzzled by the vibes he gave out.
"Let's go and have another sleep-over," Sailor Moon said as she
detransformed. The remainder of the scouts detransformed as well.
Usagi and Rei picked up Momoru whom was awake, but drowsy and kept
moaning that he needed sleep.
"That was not what he meant Usagi," Ami said. "Polaris said we should
not go out alone. It would be better if we traveled in pairs because if
we are all together and Rameck plans to ambush us, we will all be
defeated and be of no use. I will go home with you and Darien.
Remember that you still need to be tutored. Rei, Minako and Makoto
should make another group. It would be unwise for us all to be in one
place."
"Agreed!" with that, they all went their ways. Mina put a message on
the door telling her parents to go to Rei's temple to sleep. That she
will explain everything. Everything was straightened out that night
about Mina and where she will stay until her parents find another
place. Rei's grandpa offered Mina room and board. Rei was somehow
cheered up by these events as she seemed kind of glad she had a room
mate.
The night passed uneventful, but not without eyes watching over Tokyo
like a vulture. Obsidian saw the city landscape through a ring of
purple flames and laughed a very maniacal laugh as he looked to his side
and his once plain staff, now was whole and attached to the headpiece.
